"Oh well," Kontenia said. "At least we can say that we did something special tonight!"
All the girls headed into Saryn's room, watched the rest of the movies while eating candy, then they made some prank phone calls, and went to sleep in the tent. It wasn't until around 2:56am that Saryn woke up because of a beam of light. She stared at the sky and watched as a star darted down, first fast, then slowly, and soon it neared her. She was too shocked to wake up the other girls.
Shirley they can see the light, can't they, she thought to herself. Why haven't they woken yet?
The star almost blinded Saryn, and then the whole sky lit up. Saryn soon noticed that the star had exploded in such an odd way. It had disappeared and sent a shock to the earth that shook it and made an explosion.
Saryn looked up at the sky, for she thought she saw something fly into the sky. It looked like more than just one thing. By now, the other girls had woken and stared at the ground. Saryn looked at them, then looked where they stared, and noticed three rather large eggs. Saryn, being the brave person she is, was the first to run over and pick up and egg. It had an odd design on it, but the others did too. Saryn picked up the one with the black stripes on it. Mineta got the green one, and Kontenia reached for the Red, Blue, and Yellow one. They were all dazed at what happened. Saryn raced to her computer with the egg in her hands, and went on the Internet. When she tried to open the site, it read Site Been Deleted. Saryn tried it again, and that's all it said.
"Maybe it's just a bad connection right now," Mineta said. "You never know."
"Or, maybe we have been chosen to do a special task and these eggs have special stuff inside to help us on our journey," Saryn said enthusiastically.
"Maybe someone just decided to delete their site," Kontenia said. "It happens you know."
"Maybe this is all a dream," Saryn said. "Maybe we are all dreaming this at the same time! Let's go to sleep and see if they are still here in the morning!"
The next morning, Saryn woke up, yawning. She was still half asleep, and it was 10:00am. The only thing that woke her up was when she tripped over something on her way out of her tent.
"Dumb rock," she muttered. She turned around, and gasped as she saw that she had fell over her egg! It was still there! She woke up the girls and they all stared at the eggs.
"Let's go show it to your mom," Mineta suggested.
"No way," Saryn screamed. "She'll faint!"
"Let's keep the eggs warm and hatch them to see what's inside," Kontenia said.
They all agreed. Saryn gave Kontenia and Mineta some warm blankets for the eggs, and the other girls ran home.
Before they knew it, Monday had come and they all had the obstacle of bringing the eggs to school.
Saryn snuggled her egg in her backpack, Mineta brought a giant purse and placed it in there, while Kontenia left hers home in a huge pile of blankets.
"I hope it doesn't hatch in those blankets," Kontenia said worry like. "It'll suffocate!
"I hope mine doesn't break," Saryn said, also sounding worried.
"Well, I would put mine in my locker, but they are all locked up, so I'll just carry it around and hope no one notices," Mineta said very quickly.
The bell rang after that, and all the girls went to their seats. Mrs. Lefrignel, the teacher, walked into the room.
The first thing that came out of his mouth was "Brandon, get rid of the gum!" Everyone laughed and the day went by without any worry.
The next day, Saryn woke up to a surprise. Her egg had a hole in it, and a little thing was popping out. What she didn't know was that it was the little creature's ear. She dangled it by the ear until the whole egg shook, which then she let go of it and it cracked on the floor. The egg shattered into tiny pieces, and a little creature rolled on the ground until it laid still on it's back. It started crying and whining. Saryn hesitated.
"Ssh," She said. "Ssh! Don't cry! I'll protect you from harm, it's okay!"
She picked up the creature and cradled it in her arms. Then she looked out her door into the hallway to make sure her mom hadn't waked. When she looked down at the creature again, she noticed it was falling asleep in her warm arms. She walked over to the phone and called Kontenia, who was also celebrating the birth of her creature.
"It's so unbelievable," Kontenia said. "It's warm too."
Mineta then called Kontenia and she put her on three way so they could all talk.
"It scared me at first," Mineta said,” but now I've gotten used to its cute little body."
"Mine was crying until I picked it up," Saryn said softly, trying not to wake it. "Now it's asleep in my arms."
Just then a loud noise startled Saryn's creature and it woke up.
What's that loud noise, she thought. It didn't come from the phone.
She looked outside her window, and there, standing a few feet away was a giant seal like thing. It had fins like bird wings and the tail looked like feathers. It made another loud noise, and then, it flew into the air. Saryn ran to the window and looked out, trying to spot the creature, but it was too fast, and had already left. Then, she heard another sound from her creature.
"That was Miracnes. Don't let that one scare you, he's a Zicknes, and we cause no harm."
Saryn's eyes widened. She was amazed at what it said.
"You...you can talk?"
"Yes, I can," It responded to her question. "I'm Pilnes. Don't be afraid of me. I'm your Zicknes."
"Wha...what's a Zicknes," Saryn stuttered as she said this.
"Do you always talk like that," Pilnes asked, then he made a small little giggle. " Zicknes are creatures like me, we are good and loyal. We fight for a good cause and everything like that. Our enemies are creatures called Micknulls. Micknulls are evil. They destroy everything that they don't like. They even destroy other Micknulls!"
"Well, I've never heard of these Micknulls, and I'm sure no one else has," Saryn said.
"I'm sure you've never heard of Zicknes either, right," Pilnes asked. "They have just arrived on earth two days ago. Nobody knows it yet, but they have been spreading all over. We needed to get on earth to save them somehow, so it just happens that you said a spell to bring us here, and we made it actually work. You are my owner now, and you'll have to train me to beat the evil creatures. If we don't destroy every single one, then they will take over the earth, and with their abusive instincts, the might destroy it."
"I'll train you," Saryn yelled really loudly. "I bet I can make you really powerful!"
"Great," Pilnes said.
"Oh, wait, I have to go to school and stuff first," Saryn muttered. "School will be over in 12 days. Can you stay home until then?"
"Sure," Pilnes said. "I'll be a good little Zicknes!"
"I have to get ready for school now," Saryn said, yawning. She put on her clothes, got her books ready, then went down to the kitchen and got some breakfast. She snuck a little food into her room for Pilnes, and then hurried to her bus stop.
