Here are my reviews on the movies in the Alien Legacy. I'm no critic thank God! They and so many other people say many negative things about good movies like Alien ³. I guess nobody liked in when Newt was killed, but in good high quality movies, you have to put up with the little bit of crap like that in them.

ALIEN (Star Beast) - **** - As the first installment of the series, it was very good. It was creepy and humorous. I thought Brett, Parker, and Kane were funny. I liked it whenever Parker said something Brett said right. I thought it was just hilarious when Ripley asks how Kane is doing after the parasite got off him and he said, "Oh terrific. Next silly question." He obviosly wasn't feeling good. Alien has very scary and haunting parts such as the Derelict Ship sequences. Sometimes when there is dead silence or when everything is going great for the characters, something happens. The special affects of Alien weren't bad for its time frame. They were actually great. In my opinoin, Alien is the scariest one of all. It is definetly worth your money if you should rent it. If you like it, go ahead and buy it!
ALIENS (Alien 2) - ***** - This movie is the perfect sequel. It had had an excellent musical score. Aliens is a really fun movie with nonstop action and suspense. The film has fairly decent special affects. They say that the Queen is very smart, but there's one thing that makes her dumb. Why does she build her nest in the ready-to-explode atmosphere processor? Either way, if you should rent it, it is definetly worth your money. It is still worth your money to buy it.
ALIEN ³ (Alien III, Alien 3) - ***** - The best of the best of the best film in the series so far! Like the original Alien, this movie has one Alien (two if you count the Queen inside Ripley) in it killing people off. There aren't many boring parts. Once the alien makes it's first few appearances, there is nonstop action and fun just like Aliens. I think David Fincher should have stayed away from the 3-D graphics in this movie as they were fairly cheesy. However Alien³ is still enjoyable outside of that. I really liked the scene where it jumps out of the lead pit basicly unharmed. I did not expect that. This movie is so good. Lots of people hate it. They must have a real bad taste in movies. Me and my friends don't hate this film. We think it is definetly worth your money to rent or even better: BUY IT!
ALIEN: Resurrection (Alien 4) - **** - This was an excellent continuation of Alien ³. It had quite a few jokes in it such as the scene where Ripley VIII thought the word fork was pronounced f**k. You will just drool at the computer graphics in this movie. They were some the best I've ever seen. I really liked Alien: Resurrection except for one thing: The ending was corny (With the Human/Alien Hybrid). At least Riply got back to Earth after 257 years. Outside of that, Alien: Resurrection is definetly worth renting. It is also worth every red cent if you buy it. |
