Meltdown started off with pyro blasting everywhere. Superfly, “Welcome everybody, to Thursday night Meltdown live from San Antonio, Texas! Tonight we have a couple of amazing matches. Including one that should have been on Monday at Frostbite. It’s gonna be Gunmetal against Terminator in a Cage match. That is our main event for tonight. We also have a championship match for you. The Xtreme champion Latin Lightning will take on the “New Hulk” Al Boar for the Xtreme title.” The TitanTron showed Stephanie in her office. Latin Lightning burst in. Lightning, “Stephanie, you gotta change the match tonight. Why can’t we just have it at the pay-per-view?” Stephanie, “First of all, I don’t got to do anything for you. And second of all there will be no change tonight. Goodbye.” Lightning,“Fine." But don’t blame me when he can’t be at the pay-per-view after I beat him to a bloody pulp.” Ice, “Well I guess the match is still on for tonight. As a matter of fact it’s next.” Superfly, “That’s right Ice. It’s a rematch from the first Frostbite two weeks ago.” Latin Lightning vs. “the New Hulk” Al Boar (Xtreme Championship) The two started up in a tie-up but Boar got the advantage with an arm drag. He picked up Latin Lightning and Irish whipped him. When Lightning came bouncing back he jumped over Boar and dropkicked him from behind. He went for a rollup but he kicked out. Lightning picked up Boar and started giving him right hands until Boar countered into a sidewalk slam. He pinned him but he kicked out. He pulled him off the mat and then threw him over the ropes onto the outside. He got out of the ring where Lightning was on the ground. As the ref was bent over coming to get out of the ring, Lightning sprung up and gave Al Boar a low blow. He slammed Boar’s face into the announce table and then Irish whipped him into it. Ice, “Hey! Go fight somewhere else!” There was no DQ in the match so they could continue brawling outside the ring. Lightning seemed to have the advantage as he set Al Boar up for a Lightning DDT, his special move, he got pushed into the security wall. Boar picked him up and gave him a military press onto the wall and then Lightning fell over it into the crowd. Al Boar climbed over the wall but only to be given a right hand to the head and then slammed against the security wall. Latin Lightning was now bringing Boar up the arena while still beating him with rights and lefts. Soon they were backstage. The ref was still following them. Latin Lightning went to Irish whip Boar but “the New Hulk” countered into an Irish whip of his own into a door. The door fell over on impact with Latin Lightning. They were in a luxury skybox over looking the arena. Boar went for an Irish whip through the huge window but Lightning countered into a Lightning DDT. He pinned Boar but he got his shoulder just in time. Lightning took a chair and swung it at Boar. Boar ducked under it and gave Latin Lightning a German suplex through the big window and out into the crowd! Now Boar was in control. He took Lightning back into the ring and gave him a thunderous Powerbomb for the win. “the New Hulk” Al Boar was the new Xtreme champion! The crowd went wild. All of a sudden Latin Lightning came from behind and hit Boar in the back with a sledgehammer! Boar fell to the canvas motionless. Lightning grabbed a mic. Lightning, “I told you I would leave this man in a heap in the ring and that’s exactly what I did. Now he won’t be able to defend his newly won title which he stole from me this Sunday. So I ask you Stephanie McMahon, was it worth it? One of your superstars could be out of action for a couple of month just because you wanted to please these filthy people.” The TitanTron showed a man in a black cape and outfit run around a corner. The camera panned behind and then Kurt Angle was seen lying on the ground. Superfly, “What happened? Who was that guy?” Ice, “I don’t know. Maybe this is another one of those guys who McMahon sent.” Superfly, “Next we have an important announcement that will be made by the Corporate Brawlers themselves.” Toms Akko and Lar Lesnar came out with mics. Akko, “Later on tonight there will be a number 1 contender match to see who will go to the Day of Reckoning to challenge Snoop for the Steel championship. The two superstars in that match tonight are: our own bodyguard Goon and a new superstar under the name of Gramps. Ice, “Gramps? What kind of a name is Gramps?” Superfly, “I don’t know. I guess we’ll have to find out.” The TitanTron then went to Stephanie McMahon. Last week I told all you fans that a number 1 contender tag team would be chosen. After I decided not to have a match, I decided to draw a random card. So the team that will take on the Angry Hillbillies will be a special entry. Two superstars who used to be in the WCW. The number 1 contenders are Sting and Kevin Nash!” Ice, “Sting and Kevin Nash? What a match that should be.” Sledge came to the ring with Terminator and Twisted Tawny. Terminator, “Tonight I am going to end Gunmetal’s career in a Cage match. And when I do, I won’t have to worry about him anymore. All I have to do is win the tag team match this Sunday and that’s all. I am the most dominant wrestler alive today!” He handed the mic to Sledge. Sledge, “Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to call out someone who I saw in the back talking trash about me. So if he thinks he’s so cool, he should come out here and get his ass in the ring. Get out here, Double X!” Ice, “We haven’t seen Double X since the first Frostbite.” Double X came out. Double X, “Fine. I’ll face you in a match tonight. As a matter of fact, I’ll face you right now.” With that he gave Terminator a super kick but Sledge gave him a bulldog from behind. Double X vs. Sledge Sledge had the early advantage after the attack from behind. He was kicking Double X in the stomach a couple of times until Double X countered into a DDT. He went for an early pin but Sledge kicked out. He yanked Sledge off the mat and put him against the turnbuckle and punched him in the side of the head. He backed up and went for a running dropkick but Sledge moved sending Double X flying into the turnbuckle. Sledge got up and so did Double X. Double X ran at Sledge but Sledge gave him a drop toe hold and then rolled out of the ring. Double X got up and followed. Double X charged at Sledge again and Sledge nailed him with a clothesline. He rolled him back into the ring and went for a cover but Double X kicked out before the three count. Sledge lifted Double X for a Sledgehammer but Double X countered into a hurricanrana and then a rollup! One…Two…Three! Double X won the match. The crowd cheered. Superfly, “One week they hate this guy and now they love him! What’s going on?” During his celebrating, the TitanTron showed Edge lying on the ground just like Angle. Ice, “Another person?” Superfly, “Oh my God! First Angle was knocked out and now Edge? Who is the culprit?” All of a sudden a huge blast of pyro blew out of the turnbuckle knocking Double X off his feet and Sledge off their feet. Ice, “What the hell?” The man in the black cape came out and stood on the stage. He had a ski mask on and put his hand on it. He ripped it off revealing his identity to everyone in the crowd. Superfly, “That’s Tyson Tomko!” Tomko walked into the ring as Sledge slid out of it and walked through the crowd. Ice, “Look at Sledge. He’s running away like a scolded dog.” Tomko started Double X in the eyes and then smiled. He laughed as the two raised their hands together in victory. Superfly, “What’s going on? Tyson Tomko is from the WWE! And now Double X is friends with him? What’s going on here?” They walked out of the arena together laughing. Ice, “Ladies and gentlemen I don’t know how to explain what we just witnessed. All I know is that Double X is now officially in the WWE.” Superfly, “Why don’t we just forget about the traitor for now and go to our next match.” Ice, “Next, we have our main event. It will be Gunmetal against Terminator in a Cage match. And the only way to win is to climb out of the 20 foot tall cage and touch the outside floor with two feet.” Gunmetal vs. Terminator: Cage Match After the ref locked the cage door the bell rang. Gunmetal charged at Terminator. Terminator moved but Gunmetal stopped just before he hit the cage. When he turned around Terminator gave him a clothesline. He picked Gunmetal off the ground and rammed his head into the cage wall. He went to do it again but Gunmetal stopped himself with his foot. Now he slammed Terminator’s head into the cage. He began to climb the cage. Terminator got up and grabbed his foot. He yanked Gunmetal off but Gunmetal hit him with a cross body as he fell down. He got back up just as Terminator was running for a clothesline. Gunmetal countered into a Samoan drop and then got up again. He walked over to the turnbuckle and took off the covering leaving the steel part. Superfly, “He just exposed that turnbuckle! What happens if he throws Terminator into it?” Terminator was now up and staggering towards Gunmetal. Gunmetal went for an Irish whip but Terminator countered and Irish whipped Gunmetal into the exposed turnbuckle. Ice, “Gunmetal’s plan seemed to have backfired on him.” Superfly, “Yeah. He wanted to throw Terminator into the exposed turnbuckle but instead, he got thrown into it.” Terminator was climbing the cage and Gunmetal was now to his feet. As Terminator was at the top, Gunmetal climbed the turnbuckle and grabbed his leg and started to pull. Terminator used his other leg to try and kick Gunmetal off but he couldn’t shake him. At last Gunmetal pulled Terminator off the cage but he landed on his head. Both men were down. All of a sudden Gunmetal jumped to his feet. He was setting Terminator up for a spear. He charged just as Terminator was getting up. All of a sudden Terminator fell face first onto the mat again. Gunmetal slammed into the cage. Ice, “Terminator didn’t even know he was about to get speared.” Superfly, “Of course he did. That’s why he dived forward.” Ice, “I wouldn’t call it diving.” Terminator was now shaking the cobwebs out of his head and started climbing the cage again. Shortly after, Gunmetal got up. Terminator was on top of the cage and turned around. He launched off the cage into a cross body onto Gunmetal. He staggered back up and started to climb the cage. He was climbing down the outside when all of a sudden Gunmetal grabbed his leg from the inside. He pulled it and now Terminator was hanging inches above the ground upside down by his leg which was caught in the cage. Gunmetal started to climb out and then jumped to the outside, winning the match. While Terminator was still tied, he started punching him and ramming his head into the cage until he was bused open. Ice, “That’s enough. Stop this assault.” Sledge came running out to help his partner with a sledgehammer. Gunmetal went for a spear but Sledge ducked under it and nailed him in the ribs a couple of times with the sledgehammer and then in the face to knock him out. Terminator got free and the two started beating on Gunmetal as the show ended.
