Frostbite kicked off imediatley with Vince McMahon walking to the ring. Vince, “Ladies and gentlemen, we are six days away from the first XCW pay-per-view: Day of Reckoning. I would like to introduce to you my team for the WWE. First, from Minneapolis, Minnesota: Brock Lesnar!” The crowd booed after hearing his name. Vince, “Secondly, from Victoria, Texas: Stone Cold Steve Austin!” This time the crowd cheered. Vince, “The next to are to be announced together. Numbers 3 and 4 are the Dudley Boyz!” The crowd booed again. Vince, “The last member of team WWE is the Cerebral Assassin Triple H!” The crowd cheered wildly. Vince, “Thank you for your time.” He left the ring soon after. As soon as he was gone Never Gonna Stop by Rob Zombie played and Edge ran to the ring. Ice, “It’s Edge! Is he here to join the XCW too?” Edge, “I don’t think what the Undertaker and Kane did was cool okay. As a matter of fact… I think it’s it great! And I’m here do exactly the same. So I would like to say that I am now officially in team XCW! And I have a friend who talked to Ms. McMahon and he is now on team XCW too. Let me introduce you to the fourth member of team XCW: The Rock!” The crowd erupted! Superfly, “Oh my god! It’s the Rock. He’s now in the XCW!” The Rock’s music hit and he walked out to the ring. He grabbed a mic. Rock, “The Rock is here and is now in the XCW! And at the Day of Reckoning he is going to whoop the WWE’s candy ass!” Rock and Edge left the ring.
The TitanTron showed Stephanie McMahon in her office with the Corporate Brawlers and was talking about the tag team match at the Day of Reckoning. Stephanie, “Now we only need one more person for team XCW. Who can we recruit?” Lesnar, “I have an idea.” He whispered something in her ear. Stephanie, “It’s brilliant! Let’s do it.” The TitanTron went black. Ice, “What was his idea?” Superfly, “I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.”
Gunmetal came to the ring with a mic. Gunmetal, “I am sick and tired of people coming up to me and telling me I shouldn’t have attacked Snoop and Terminator. That they’re going to come jump me. Well let me tell you people something. I am not afraid of them.” All of a sudden the Revolution’s music hit and Sledge and Terminator walked to the ring. Terminator, “So you’re not afraid of me huh? Well then why don’t you put your money where your mouth is and face me in a match here tonight.” Gunmetal, “Fine. But you better get an ambulance ready.” Terminator, “I will, but it will be for you not me.” Terminator left the ring followed by Gunmetal soon after.
Stephanie McMahon came to the ring. Stephanie, “I have an announcement to make regarding Day of Reckoning. The matches will be spectacular. Not all the matches have been announced yet but I will tell you the ones that are. First, the Xtreme title will be defended as the champion Latin Lightning takes on his challenger, Coldfire! The Tag Team titles will be defended as the Angry Hillbillies take on a tag team decided here tonight. Also, the Rodents: Weasel and Mongoose will take on the Revolution: Sledge and the Terminator with a guest referee of Dagger. If the Rodents win Weasel will be the XCW champion and Mongoose will be the Heavyweight champion. If the Revolution wins Terminator will retain his Heavyweight title and Sledge will be the XCW champion. And our main event. Team XCW which consists of the Undertaker, Kane, Edge, the Rock, and another member revealed tonight will take on team WWE which is Brock Lesnar, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley, and Triple H. Thank you for your time and now is the first match.”
Sledge vs. Snoop (Lightweight championship rematch)
Snoop and Sledge both made their entrance as Terminator was at ringside watching the match. They started out getting ready to grapple when all of a sudden Sledge kicked Snoop in the mid section. He Irish whipped him against the ropes and hit him with a suplex. He went for an early pin but Snoop kicked out. Ice, “How do you think Sledge’s cast is going to come into play here tonight?” Superfly, “I don’t think he’ll be using his cast at all Ice. He’s not allowed. He’d get disqualified.” Ice, “Well we’ve seen him use it before. Let’s just get back to the match.” Sledge had the advantage until he tried to give Snoop a DDT. Snoop countered into a bulldog. He pinned Sledge but he kicked out. Snoop picked up Sledge and went for a suplex but Sledge countered and slid off behind him. He dropkicked Snoop sending him into the ref who was spun around. Sledge capitalized on the situation and nailed Snoop with his cast and rolled him up just as the ref was turning around. The ref counted but to everyone’s surprise, Snoop kicked out. Superfly, “How did he kick out of that?” Sledge lifted Snoop off the mat and gave him a reverse DDT. He went for the pin again but this time Snoop got his foot on the bottom rope. Sledge was fuming mad. He went outside the ring and picked up a chair. He got back in the ring and when the ref tried to restrain him, he dropped the chair and gave him a right hand to the side of the head. He picked up the chair again and Terminator got into the ring. Sledge picked up Snoop and nailed him with a chair. All of a sudden the Corporate Brawlers came to the stage. Akko, “No no no. This is not how this match will end. From this point on in this match, I am appointing a special guest referee. He happens to be the last member of team XCW. Please welcome, Kurt Angle!” Ice, “Kurt Angle is the referee?” Superfly, “Even more important, he’s the last member of team XCW! What a match we’ll have on Sunday!” Kurt Angle ran out to the ring in a ref’s uniform. Terminator was back at ringside where he belonged. Snoop was almost completely knocked out. Sledge began beating Snoop with right hands to the face. He went for a Sledgehammer to finish off the champion when Snoop countered into a Stunner! Ice, “Oh my God! This match is over!” Snoop fell on top of Sledge and pinned him. Kurt started the count. As his hand was about to hit the mat for the third time, Sledge rolled over. Superfly, “How did he possibly kick out from that?” Snoop got to his feet in a daze. He walked over to the turnbuckle and climbed slowly to the top rope. Sledge was still on the ground. Snoop jumped off to do a cross body but Sledge rolled out of the way sending Snoop crashing into the mat. Sledge got to his feet and picked up Snoop. He lifted Snoop up and gave him a lopsided Sledgehammer. He pinned Snoop and referee Kurt Angle counted the pin. Ice, “We have a new Lightweight champion!” Superfly, “What a match! Now the Revolution is celebrating in the ring. They both have titles!”
After a commercial break the Revolution is seen walking backstage when they met up with Kurt Angle. Kurt, “Congratulations on your title win Sledge. But I have to say you didn’t win it fair and square. You used your cast and a chair. If it were up to me I would make a third rematch but it’s not. So I guess you’re the champion.” All of a sudden Gunmetal cam from behind and nailed Sledge in the head with a 2x4 wooden stick. Ice, “What’s going on? Gunmetal is assaulting Terminator. He pushed Sledge to the ground and then dragged Terminator over to a glass window. He threw him headfirst threw the window. Superfly, “He could be cut up all over!” He turned to Sledge. Gunmetal, “I’ll leave you for later tonight.” He walked away smiling.
Cecil vs. Johnboy: Friendly Competition match
The Angry Hillbillies made their entrances and started in a grapple. Superfly, “Since these two are partners I am guessing it’s going to be a fair match.” Cecil gave Johnboy an arm drag and picked him up. He went for a fireman’s carry but Johnboy reversed into a rollup. Cecil kicked out at two. As soon as he stood up Johnboy gave him a front toe hold into a leg lock. Cecil was crawling towards the ropes. Johnboy pulled him back into the center of the ring. Ice, “It seems that Johnboy is working on the legs of his partner.” Cecil eventually rolled over and got Johnboy into an arm bar. Now Johnboy was the one who was slithering towards the ropes. He grabbed the ropes but Cecil tried to pull him back. Johnboy resisted and grabbed the ropes with his hands and flipped Cecil over the ropes with his legs but Cecil landed on his feet. Johnboy got up and Cecil pulled his legs out from under him and he fell face first into the mat. Ice, “Should he be doing that to his partner?” Superfly, “Nobody said that’s not allowed.” Cecil picked up his partner and Irish whipped him towards the security wall. Johnboy flipped over the wall. When Cecil went to go pick him up, Johnboy popped out of nowhere and gave him a clothesline. He rolled him back into the ring and pinned him but Cecil kicked out at the two count. All of a sudden flames burst out of the turnbuckles and Kane was on the stage. He walked towards the ring. He slid into the ring as the Angry Hillbillies forgot about their match and started nailing Kane with right hands that didn’t seem to have much effect. They went for a double suplex but Kane sprung up and Chokeslammed them both! Superfly, “Oh my God! What impact!” Kane grinned his evil smile and got out of the ring. Some EMT’s came out to help the Angry Hillbillies.
The TitanTron showed Stephanie McMahon in her office when she got up looked right at the camera. Stephanie, “Fans of the XCW, I would like to make another match for this Sunday at the Day of Reckoning. Since the TV title is back, it would only be fair if I had a match for that title. So at the Day of Reckoning I am going to have a match. It’s the first ever TV title open. Any superstars that want to compete for it and don’t already have a match, can come out at any time they want and fight. There will be no rules in this match and anything goes. There will also be some surprise appearances from superstars from the WWE who’s contracts have ended.”
Sledge walked out to the ring. He had lots of bandages all over him. Sledge, “Earlier tonight Gunmetal attacked me but once again I’m still here. I didn’t go to any hospital. I didn’t leave. I wouldn’t even have these bandages on but Stephanie McMahon said if I don’t wear them, I can’t compete. So just to show you people that nobody can keep me down, I’m offering a challenge to anyone who thinks they can beat me.” All of a sudden the familiar light washed upon the arena and out walked the Phenom himself: the Undertaker. He walked into the ring and Sledge started kicking him in the mid section as a ref ran out to call the match. Sledge got out of the ring and came back in with a chair.
Undertaker vs. Sledge
By the time Sledge got back into the ring the Undertaker was standing again. Sledge charged at him with a chair but Taker countered into a clothesline. Taker picked up Sledge and started hitting him in the face with right hands. He grabbed him by the hair and was taunting Sledge until Sledge poked him in the eyes with his fingers. Taker staggered back and Sledge tried to capitalize on the situation. He ran at the Undertaker, only to be given a huge sidewalk slam. Undertaker started nailing Sledge with hard right hands as he was on the ground. He picked him up and Irish whipped him against the ropes. On the return trip he gave Sledge a backdrop to the outside of the ring. Ice, “Well it seems Undertaker has control of this match.” Sledge was just getting up as Taker got out of the ring and started bombarding him with right hands again. Taker seemed to have the advantage in the match until Sledge hit Taker with a low blow behind the ref’s back. Before rolling the Undertaker back into the ring, Sledge smashed Taker’s head into the security wall a couple of times. When they both were back in the ring, Sledge went for a pin but Taker kicked out. Sledge started kicking him in the face but Taker still didn’t move. Superfly, “I guess Taker doesn’t notice he’s being kicked in the face.” For a fourth time he went to kick Taker in the face but Taker caught his foot. Taker stood up as Sledge started to wiggle and twist to try to escape. Undertaker put him up for a tombstone and nailed him. He pinned Sledge and won the match.
The TitanTron showed Terminator lying on the floor bloody. Gunmetal came into view. Gunmetal, “You know what! I couldn’t wait until later tonight so I had a little match of my own back here. As you can see, I won.” He smiled as Frostbite came to a close.
