In an announcement on its official website, TNA Wrestling confirmed the acquisition of the tag team once known as The Dudley Boyz. According to the article, the duo signed a multi-year contract with the number two national wrestling promotion.
"We see TNA as the future of wrestling," Devon told TNAwrestling.com. "They have a lot of amazing talent that are ready to step up and revolutionize this business. We thought we had done it all in tag team wrestling until we saw TNA Wrestling. Now, we begin a new chapter in our careers. The NWA World Tag Team Titles are one prize we haven't held yet, so we're both really excited about joining TNA."
While noting that they would be showing up on a future episode of TNA iMPACT, the release did not explicitly confirm an appearance on the Spike TV debut. That is expected, however. |

Maven on The Surreal Life? |
According to MavenHuffman.com, the former WWE superstar has been tapped to appear on the next season of VH1's "The Surreal Life." The update Wednesday claims Maven is presently in California filming the show.
The official billing was that Maven would be one of the "reality show hunks" that fellow castmembers would get to choose as a seventh house guest. The cast includes Sherman Helmsely (The Jeffersons), Tawny Kitaen (Bachelor Party, Here I Go Again video), Steve Harwell (Smash Mouth), CC Deville (Poison), Andrea Lowell (Playboy) and Alexis Arquette (The Wedding Singer). The Brady Bunch's Florence Henderson will be appearing in a special guest role on the show.
There had been rumors that Maven - after his release from WWE - was looking to break into the entertainment business. This appears to be the first stage in said transition.

According to John Laurinaitis, Vice President of Talent Relations for World Wrestling Entertainment, Mark Copani, a.k.a. Muhammad Hassan, and WWE have decided to go their separate ways.
Copani, who was last seen at The Great American Bash in late-July, had nothing but positive remarks about his WWE experience in recent phone interview.
“I have a great appreciation for WWE and the way they treated me,” said Copani. “Everybody took care of me even more than they ever had to. I have a great deal of gratitude for the McMahons, the people in the office and the boys in the locker room. I have absolutely no grievances in the way that everything played out. In fact, the split was very amicable. I just thought that it was in my best interest, as well as WWE’s best interest, for us to go our separate ways.”
With WWE now in his past, Copani is heading to Hollywood to pursue a career in acting. But does that mean WWE fans will never see the former Muhammad Hassan in a wrestling ring again?
“Wrestling is in my back pocket for now,” admitted Copani. “Luckily, the door was left open for a return if that is what I wish to do in the future. And if that’s something I wish to do, I know who to call.” |

In an update on Muhammad Hassan and WWE parted ways, apparently there have been rumors of it backstage all week. Since being removed from television, Copani moved to Los Angeles to concentrate on an acting career. It was also rumored backstage that Hassan would request his release, but it seems WWE offered him the release before he could request one. Many backstage felt that Copani never really had a true passion for the business, and that he was using it as a stepping stone. Management was also apparently unhappy with the fact that Hassan turned down a few ideas for his character, which would have further crossed the line, and they were not pleased that he did not report to OVW after being taken off television.
In an update on Daivari, he debuted on OVW television last week under the name of Sheik Daivari. Daivari is reportedly well liked backstage and will likely return at some point down the line when the right spot opens.

Monday Night RAW will be heading back home to the USA Network on Oct. 3. The historic three-hour RAW will start at 7:55 p.m. ET.
Many former WWE Champions will be on hand for "WWE Homecoming" on Oct. 3, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley and the return of Triple H. Also, a host of WWE legends will be a part of the historic, star-studded evening. Many legends already confirmed for Oct. 3 include:
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Jimmy Hart, Hillbilly Jim, Superstar Billy Graham, The Iron Sheik, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Harley Race, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Chief Jay Strongbow, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff and Koko B. Ware.
Also, several huge matches have been signed for "WWE Homecoming," including Edge vs. Matt Hardy in a "Loser Leaves RAW, Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match" and General Manager Eric Bischoff vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship.
RAW flourished during its seven-year run on USA network, establishing cable rating records as WWE fans flocked to the television each and every Monday night. And it’s happening all over again, so don’t miss RAW on Oct. 3 for this televised homecoming.
