Entered the WWF as Therman "Sparky" Plugg: wrestler by day, race car drive by night, if we're to
believe the WWF hype... changed the name in latter part of the year to Bob "Spark Plug" Holly
1995
The team of Holly and the 1-2-3 Kid got a spot mid-way into a tournament for the tag title when the
Smoking Gunns were injured... The Gunns returned before the tournament ended, and Holly and the Kid
offered the Gunns a title shot if they won. Holly and the Kid won over Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka,
and the next night, the Gunns won...Won the IC title in April from Jeff Jarrett, but the title was held up
the same night due to controversy... Jarrett beat Holly for the vacant title the following week... Holly
made it into the King of the Ring tournament, and was defeated in the first round by the Roadie... Holly
continued to job at pay per views to the likes of Goldust, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, but received a shining
pay-per-view win over Rad Radford
1996
Bob Holly over Isaac Yankem? It happened in May... Teamed with Bart Gunn, Jesse James, and Aldo
Montoya against Billy Gunn, Justin Bradshaw, Sal Sincere, and the Sultan. Holly's team was the victor,
with Bart emerging as the sole survivor...
1997
Holly was not active in the wrestling scene in 1997
1998
Resurfaced in March with Bart Gunn as the new Midnight Express, part of Jim Cornette's National
Wrestling Alliance faction to take back the NWA tag titles from the Headbangers. The Midnight Express
replaced the Rock and Roll Express... Defeated the Headbangers for the NWA titles the day after
Wrestlemania... The Express lost a non-title match to Scorpio and Terry Funk in April... Lost matches
to WWF tag champs the New Age Outlaws in June where the Express's titles were not on the line...
Lost a "Brawl for All" match in July to his partner Bodacious Bart. Bob got mad and took a swing at
Bart after the match
Jim Cornette left the WWF in August, his NWA faction had all but dissolved in
the previous weeks
Lost the tag titles to the Border Patrol on a local NWA card in August
