My name is Rita Wolf Robinson, I live in Canada. I am trying to build my family tree. I was born in Pultusk Poland, lived in Germany in Displaced Persons Camps until 1952. Some of the camps were: Sande, Varel, Bockhorn and Siegen. We emmigrated to the United States in February, 1952. My mother was Helena Geromin also born in Pultusk, Poland. My father was Tadeusz Wolf born in Zamosc, Poland.
To date, I have records of some ancestors, very little though. The Geromin side of the family is in Germany and England. The Wolf side, my two aunts and I live in Canada.
None of the grandparents are alive.
I have records of my father, who was conscripted into the German army, taken prisoner by the Allies and then in a prisoner exchange wound up a member of the Polish Free Army under British Command. He died in hospital in Inverness Scotland in 1947. My mother remarried in the States and I have 8 siblings. She died in Michigan USA in 1994.
I am 62 years old, have four children and 6 granchildren. It is for them, that I hope to build this tree. |
