| QUESTION:-I need help fast!!! I think I 've had obsessive-compulsive disorder for at laest two years. I can't talk to my mum about it cos i tried once and she just laughed. I feel as if it is taking over my life, my mate told me to go to a doctor but i'm too scared to go on my own, please help me Naomi. NAOMI SAYS:-Obsessive-compulsive disorder is when you feel that you have to repeat something every day (EG.washing your hands every 10 minutes, refuse to steping on drains) You don't have to do this but you feel you do are else something bad will happen.This is very common in young people your age and it usually grows out of them.This is obviously interfering in your life, so you must try and speak to someone. You could show your mum this letter as she doesn't realise how much this is upsetting you, or you could contact your doctor first then discuss it with your mum. I promise your GP will understand and be able to help you. QUESTION:-Loads of boys at school have asked me out. I've never been out with anyone and I'm not sure I'm ready yet. Please help me Naomi as I don't know what to do! NAOMI SAYS:-I you don't think you are ready my advice is to wait a while. Never, ever do anything that you don't feel comfortable with. I bet you've got enough things in your life like school and friends to keep you busy and happy.
