Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the zodiac. It is fixed, masculine, and the second sign of winter corresponding to the time of year when roots are begining to grow. The sun moves into this sign on 20 or 21 January, where it stays until 19 or 20 February, depending on the year.
Season
Winter. Cold winds sweep over the frozen surface of the earth, whilst the wintry air penetrates water, turning it into ice. But, below the surface, the first signs of germination are taking place and roots are growing.

Air. The pure, cold air of the the heart of winter. Like the symbol representing this sign, the air comes in waves and vibrates over the frozen earth, activated by the frozen winds and the glare of the sun.
