Welcome to the sk8boarding nation headquarters! Here you can find info on brand name boards, skateboarders, and you can even find pro trick tips to help you become a better boarder. If you are into Pokemon you can vistit my friend Robert's Pokemon site where you can find Gameshark codes and a complete walkthrough at www.maxpages.com/pokemonites! Also, the guy who has the website "noskatelimit" is a fraud. He copies the text from other people's website and also copies the pools, pictures, and music. Please: DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM! He is only a big plageurist who has taken some info and ideas from my site. The more votes I get, the better trick tips and pictures I can enter to make my site just right. I will update regularly, so stay in touch with my website every week! Please e-mail me with suggestions on how I can improve or if you just want to compliment on my site. Altogether, I will have 25 trick tips when I finish my trick tips section. I am also currently working on my boarders info section and boards section. During spring break, I will get some pictures from the Vans Triple Crown Competition and post them on my site. If you have any questions about the trick tips or how I made my site, please scroll to the bottom and e-mail me. I will be on a cruise the whole week of spring break, but I will update from on the ship using my laptop! Have a safe, and FUN spring break!
Trick tips: (the following tricks are rated according to hardness by stars,* 1 star-easy, ** 2 stars-a tad bit harder, *** 3 stars-difficult, **** 4 stars- hard, ***** 5 stars-very hard.)
Ollie*--- The ollie is the most basic trick in skateboarding. Find a flat surface like concrete or cement and start building some speed. Bend your knees some. Place your left foot or right food on the tail (back) and your other foot on the center. Kick your tail foot on the tail and jump and at the same time slide your center foot up the board to get off the ground. When you are about to land bend your knees some to prevent the force from throwing you off your board. This trick requires some practice, so go out there and give it a shot!
Pop Shove It***--- A pop shove it is a 180 in the air. To do a pop shove it, you must be able to ollie at least 6-7 inches off the ground. Ollie, then with your center foot, smack your board to the side to do a 180. Land with your knees bent.
50 50 grind*--- A 50 50 grind is a grind in which the front and back trucks of the skateboard slide across the rail. To do this, approach the rail, ollie, and land with your nose (front) forward and your weight forward. To pop off, apply great pressure to the nose when doing the 50 50 grind to pop the board off the rail and land with your knees slightly bent.
Board slide***--- A board slide is a grind in which you slide across the rail with your feet on the nose and tail and your board is sliding from the bottom middle (between the trucks). Approach the rail and when you are near, ollie high and do a 90 degree turn, and land on the rail with one foot on the nose and the other on the tail. This trick requires a lot of practice but is fairly easy once you know how to do it!
5 0 grind****--- A 5 0 (five-o) grind is a grind in which you are leaning back on your tail trucks and the nose trucks are above the rail you are sliding on. Do a 50 50 grind and while on the rail, pull your weight backwards some and push on the tail to make the front trucks rise and to slide on the back trucks! This grind is pretty advanced and you need to have at least a month's experience before attempting this trick!
Smith grind**--- A smith grind is a grind in which the back trucks slide across the rail and the front trucks are sliding along the side of the rail. Approach the rail, ollie to a 50 50 grind and while doing the grind, slide the front trucks to the left (or right) a tad so that the front trucks are resting on the side of the rail. Requires little practice.
Darkslide*****--- A darkslide is where you slide across the rail on your grip tape with one foot by the tail truck and the other by the nose truck (a reversed boardslide). Approach the rail and do a half kickflip in the air and land on the top of the bottom of the board with one foot by the tail truck and the other by the nose truck. Push all of your weight forward because it is very difficult to slide on your grip tape and when you are drastically losing speed, kick one side of the board(either the tail truck side or the nose truck side) and do a kickflip and land like you did an ollie (with your knees bent) DO NOT try this trick until you can do a kickflip and land it every time or until you can do all of the previous tricks. This is one of the most advanced tricks in skateboarding and only a few pros can do it!
Nose Grind****--- A noseslide is the exact opposite of a 5 0 (five-o) grind. Do a 50 50 grind on the rail and push your weight forward on the nose to cause the back trucks to lift off the rail and the front trucks to be the only part of your board sliding (along with the nose, for balance). To land the noseslide, apply great pressure to the nose to pop off the rail. This trick is advanced and needs to be done on a low rail for begginers. Requires at least a month's practice.
