Sabbath NesT

'One of the most creative albums in history of Rock'n Roll...'

Sabbath NesT by Mark Spiewak of PEARLCOPPER
- One-man Progressive Rock band...

It's difficult to explain the theme of Sabbath NesT in single sentence. But 'It' has
complex everyday, mythical and legendary context of Individuality as part of Society,
Society 'Itself', World(in all time frames) and Music...Moreover, Progressive Rock music...

To describe the type of music, I call 'It' Progressive Rock...

One of the most inspiring albums in history of Rock music, in which Mark Spiewak
deconstruct new and common guitar riffs in which sound is saturated, overdrived and,
sometimes, compressed in linear parts of time, then expanding into spectrum of uncommon
and deconstructed guitar riffs and tones (some with guitar sound processors...some alone,
like a whisper, roar of whale, beat of heart, human sex, orgy, taste of money, dance of fish on
surface of water, flight of birds or apocaliptic thunder). The drum and synth work comprehends
into new perspectives of Rock music. It's like watching soundscape of symphonic elements
with apocaliptic sound, rhythm and melody...At first sight.

PEARLCOPPER's classics 'Rhythm of Time'-Apocaliptic & Bridge versions, 'Sabbath River',
'Downside on the heaven's walls', 'So close and far away', 'Blood of Rock'n Roll', 'Jester' or
'DEMI_MONDE_PIPEX' constitute for total virtue of faith, exuberance and future...Of Rock'n Roll...
The World...And Us.

Are there any messages?

Both classics of 'Rhythm of Time' are in their way energetic and powerful. They
contain powerful grandiose within perspectives of Classical and Rock music. It's like
a walk along ruins of ancient temple. The air is hot, dense and still (with momentary breeze).
And the voice...Voice surrounded in silence...It keeps bouncing against walls of perishing
ancient site...And the message in the voice. The strenght and power of It...Like it's encripted
in Universal spasm(plates), not chaos.
The classic of 'Rhythm of Time' - Apocaliptic version was partialy broadcasted in air LIVE
performance on THE PEAK 96.5 - Rover radio show of February 11, 2000.
All together, the performance of ' Rhythm of Time' and 'Downside on the heaven's walls' Part II
and half of Part III brought public and producers interest.
The Bridge version of 'Rhythm of Time', another Rock music epic, gives more insights and
shows more detailed layout of soundscape and/or space of temple and sound of it. By allowing
more space and free time between life or dance of sounds, Mark Spiewak of PEARLCOPPER
gives more meaning to Bridge version, even with vocals.
But why PEARLCOPPER created couple of versions of 'Rhythm of Time'?
It's an image between interior and exterior, tradition and experiment (not improvisation), distance and
intimacy, charm and weirdness, positive and negative and, finally, literal representation and
emotional expression.
Both songs gave a background to creation of 'Sabbath River' and 'DEMI_MONDE_PIPEX' songs
which consist of more structural as well as psychedelic and innovative soundscapes, mixed with
few common and deconstructed riffs of Rock and Classical music. A real breakthrough.
In addition to guitar and synth, there is total life, flight or fire of drums.
Whether it's solo drum, accompaniment or drum hurricane, it's all to bring it all together...Like all at once.
For what PEARLCOPPER believes, drums or beat of drums, are the most important part of music.
( 'For the time was first,' -he said, 'Before anything else.' - Dialog between Einstein and Kevin from
'Blood of Rock'n Roll' book which Mark Spiewak is writing.)
The guitar and guitar solo part in 'Sabbath River' is one of the most creative guitars trips in history of
Rock'n Roll, ranging nearly for ten minutes, crushing into everything there is left...When the legend of
vision of sound is approaching the peak...Swaggering Rockstar about a spectacular stage on the horse,
Black Stalion, playing his electric guitar and singing at the same time.
And finally, 'Blood of Rock'n Roll' song is an organ and guitar work of extraordinary originality and
standpoint. It's not stereotype...Just another Rock music masterpiece that makes a toll...Toll of the bells.

'And, of course, it's all relative. Rock'n Roll and the World are booming, and part of society changes,
moreover, 'It' finds sense of life.' - (Part from 'Blood of Rock'n Roll' book which Mark Spiewak of PEARLCOPPER's writing)
