We moved to Torrevieja in May 2002 after a very long car journey from Bournemouth, UK through Spain to our final destination.
We had been running a very busy hotel in Bournemouth for nearly 14 years and it was time to retire to a warmer climate and rest.
We live just on the outskirts of Torrevieja and have a vast expanse of land opposite our first floor flat which is ideal for walking the dogs.
The large roof terrace is the place to get a good suntan in the long summer months where temperatures can reach 45 or more.
Not far from us is a small railway system at Collosa that will take us either to Alicante or the other direction to Murcia. These trips just take the strain out of driving the car and trying to park on arrival. |
