Are you trying to figure out if there is going to be a full moon,a storm or perhaps just a virus? It seems to be effecting all the children around you.
1. The children have been whiny all day and your nerves are frazzled. Toys are flying around you as you calmly try to see what direction they are coming from.
2. You notice little Bobbie and Joe are running into the wall, bouncing off it and landing onto the floor. Suddenly, the hair stands up on the back of your neck, as you take a deep breath and swallow hard.
3. The children take turns falling continuously and getting hurt.
You say outloud, "it's another full moon day."
You wonder how much more can one person take?
Well I have just the answer for you.
1. Take a few deep breaths.
2. Don't hustle or bustle about. Stand perfectly still for a few moments, while observing what each child is doing.
3. Take each child gently and calmly by the hand and guide them to the sink. Wash up for a snack or special play. Have the children try shaving cream or finger paint on cardboard. That might just calm them down.
