eXistenZ
Stars: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jude Law

A very strange movie, it had me confused more than it had me interested. Although it was good, it wasn't as exciting as I had hoped.
The Story:
A computer game programmer (Jennifer Jason Leigh) creates a game that plugs directly into the player's body through a "bio port". This allows for complete realism while playing her game. While testing it, a deranged fan tries to kill her, but, with the help of her bodygard (Jude Law), they escape. The programmers game pod may be ruined, so the two play it to see if it's ok.
The rest of it is pretty much confusing, as they try do distinguish between the real world and the game world.
Go
Stars: Katie Holmes, Sarah Polley, Nathan Bexton

Although a little strange at first, I only went to see this movie because a friend wanted to see it. Boy was I glad I went! This movie was well worth the money!
The Story:
To put it simply, this movie tells of what happens after a drug deal, told by three peoples points of view.
Very funny! Go had me laughing, which I don't do at too many movies. A must see!
ED TV
Stars: Matthew McConaughy, Jenna Elfman, Woody Harrelson, Ellen DeGeneres

What can I say? This movie caught me by surprise! I expected it to be just a cheap knock-off of "The Truman Show". I was very wrong.
The Story:
Matthew McConaughy plays Ed Pekurny, a movie clerk at a video store. His life is changed when a tv station executive named Cynthia Topping (Ellen DeGeneres) gets the idea to put Ed on tv. Ed agrees and begins his life as a movie star, until his brother (Woody Harrelson) is caught cheating on his wife-to-be, Shari (Jenna Elfman) on tv. Things go even worse for Ed when he falls in love with Shari.
Far better than I expected, Ed Tv is definately worth seeing!
MATRIX
Stars: Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburn, Carrie-Ann Moss

By far one of the best movies that I've ever seen. Please see my full review on my new page "Feature Movie"
CRUEL INTENTIONS
Stars: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon

Review To Come
8MM
Star: Nicolas Cage

As we all know, Nicolas Cage is probably one of the best actors out there. Although this still holds true in this movie, there were still some drawbacks.
The Story:
Nicolas Cage plays a police officer named Tom Welles. This police officer comes across a supposed "snuff" film. This film was owned by a now dead senator. The senator's wife finds this film, and calls detective Welles to find the young girl in the film, and see if she was killed in the making.
After seeing this movie, I came to a conclusion that it was unbelievably, and unecessarily, graphic. All I'll say is know what you're about to see, before you see it.
PAY BACK
Stars: Mel Gibson, Kris Kristofferson

Well, this was without a doubt one of the best movies that I've seen in a long time. Mel Gibson was, as usual, sensational. The story line was interesting, and I found it great how everything came together in the end.
The Story:
Mel Gibson plays a proffesional robber named Porter. He and his wife and friend do the job that is supposed to help Porter's friend get back into the "syndicate". But when the money isn't enough after being split, Porter finds that his wife betrayes him and shoots him in the back. Of course he lives, then goes out for revenge trying to get back his measley $70,000.
Mel Gibson does a job that you'll never forget, and the movie line is true, you'll root for the bad guy!
STAR TREK: INSURRECTION
Stars: Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn

What can I say? This movie was much better than I expected it to be. Now, even though I'm not a Star Trek fan, actually I usually can't stand watching the movies, this was a very entertaining movie.
The Story:
The Star Trek crew of the U.S.S Enterprise comes across a planet inside an area called 'The Briar Patch' that some other members of Star Fleet seem to want. These other members want to move the citizens (the Baku) from the planet. Now, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his crew begin investigating this planet and find out some mysterious effects it causes.
I won't tell you anymore except that there is a strange plot twist. Anyway, I found it very entertaining and I really recommend it even if you aren't a 'trekkie'!
ENEMY OF THE STATE
Stars: Will Smith, Gene Hackman, John Voight

I personally thought that this was an excellent movie. It had a believable story line and excellent acting.
The Story:
Robert Dean (Will Smith) is a lawyer who's life begins to fall apart when he is unknowingly supplied with a video tape that shows the murder of a high government official.
He contacts a mysterious man named Brill (Gene Hackman) who begins to help him get his life back together.
All in all, I found this movie great! (What else could you expect from producer Jerry Brukheimer).
SOLDIER
Star: Kurt Russel

This movie wasn't exactly what I had expected. It was a typical one man against an army movie with no required acting skills on Kurt Russels part. Some good things about this movie though, were the special effects. They were pretty good, and the story line was a little more believable than some other one man against an army movies.
The Story:
In 1996, the government began traing children from birth to be the ultimate soldiers. They killed without mercy and followed orders without asking questions. But when their best soldier, Todd (Kurt Russel), was beaten by some new improved soldiers, he was thought dead and thrown onto a garbage planet. There, he found a civilization and lived among them until the new solders, on a routine check, found the people and began to kill them. Todd fought on their bahalf and I don't think I have to tell you how it ends.
This movie wasn't too bad, but could have been better.
A NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY
Stars: Will Ferrel, Chris Kattan

This was a terrible movie! It was without a doubt one of the worst movies that I have ever seen. Although there were some funny parts, the movie altogether SUCKED!
The Story:
Two brothers have two dreams of first getting into the Roxbury Club, then creating a club of their own.
I'm not going to waste any more space on this movie review, exept to say that if you haven't seen this movie yet, consider yourself lucky!
THE WATERBOY
Star: Adam Sandler

Now, with Adam Sandler, any movie would be funny, including this one. Although it isn't his best movie, I would consider it one of his best. It wasn't as funny as I expeected it to be, but was still funny none the less.
The Story:
Bobby Bouchet (Adam Sandler) was a loser. his entire life he was picked on until he finally stood up for himself and kicked a college football player's ass! He was always perfectly content being a football team's waterboy, even though he was made fun of because of it. Anyway, he was offered to play for a college team, and so he did.
I would recommend this movie to anybody and everybody.
If you haven't seen it yet, rent it as soon as it comes out!
RUSH HOUR
Stars: Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker

Jackie Chan, one of the greatest martial artists of our time is paired with comedian Chris Tucker in this hilarious action/comedy. They are the best pair since Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in the "Lethal Weapon" series.
The Story:
When the daughter of a chinese ambassador is kidnapped, the FBI begins to try to get her back. The FBI considers this a "stupid" case and tells a renegade cop (Chris Tucker) that it's of the upmost importance. But the chinese ambassador wants one of his own men on the case, the best cop in Hong Kong (Jackie Chan).
The comedy really begins when the two begin to try to show off to each other. This was an excellent movie!
