Most people don't know what "pi" is. The symbol you have probally used in math class for pi is a Greek letter. That letter is used for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Its value is approximately 22/7 or 3.14 as you may know it. 3.14159 is the approximate value to five decimal places.There were various approximations of the numerical value of the ratio were used in biblical times and later. The value was taken to be 3 in the Bible.
