The sequel to the world-wide hit Pokémon is almost here! Pokémon 2 promises better graphics, more involving gameplay, and lots more Pokémon! Over 100 more Pokemon have been discovered, and its your job to catch 'em all, all over again. The main character appears to be much older in the new game, so it is not known if it is a grown up version of Ash, or a completely new character.
Much like Zelda 64, time will pass in the game. Some monsters can only be caught at night, and some can only be caught in the day. For instance, you might only be able to find a Zubat when it is dark enough for it to venture out of its black cave. You will also trade in your bike for a cool skateboard. Pokémon 2 will be a GameBoy Color title and the graphics have been greatly improved over the original games. Check out the close ups of the Pokemon! No wierd pixilated graphics this time around! No word yet on if the game will also work with black and white Gameboys.

You can also trade Pokémon from the original game to the new game, but you can't port the new Pokémon from the sequel to the first game, because it won't recognize the new data. Pokémon 2 also features a new breeding option, allowing you to breed Pokémon to make baby Pokémon! Also, some Pokémon you port in from the original games can be evolved even further! There will be two versions of the game, Gold and Silver. Catch 'Em All, all over again!
Pokemon 2 will be released in Japan soon. Expect this version to be in the U.S. early in 2000.
