Fire Red/Leaf Green help

When you get to the first 3 Sevii Islands (only accessable to those who have beaten Blaine), go to 2 Island and go to the house at the top of Cape Brink. Put the Pokemon you chose at the start of the game to the left of your party and talk to the old lady. She'll go on about perfecting 'the ultimate move of its type'. She'll be startled and she'll teach your Pokemon one of 3 moves depending on what your starter was (Venusaur-Frenzy Plant, Charizard-Blast Burn, Blastoise-Hydro Cannon). They are all the same as Hyper Beam. Power:150 Accuracy:100 On a successive hit, you recharge on the next turn. Also, just behind the house on Cape Brink, walk until there's only one square left. Press 'A' and you'll get a Rare Candy. A little square next to the waterfall has a PP Max on it. Surf to it and use Itemfinder.

Idealistically, the best starter is Bulbasaur (in my opinion) because he is good against Brock, Misty, Lt Surge (if he knows DIG), Giovanni, Lorelei, Bruno's Onixs, Lance's Dragonairs, Kingdra (after you beat him the first time), Aerodactyl and Gyarados, Gary's ground/rock types (if any). But Charmander is good against Erika, Lt Surge (if he knows DIG), Koga, Bruno's Steelixs and Gary's grass types (Exeggutor for example). Squirtle is good against Brock, Blaine, Giovanni, Lorelei's Slowbro, Bruno's Onixs, Lance's Aerodactyl, and Gary's Rock/Ground types (if any).

You get the Vs. Seeker from the lady next to the desk in the Vermillion Pokemon center. The Vs. Seeker allows you to re-battle anyone you've battled already (except Gym Leaders and people in Victory Road) if its fully charged. It takes 100 steps to charge. It bleeps and anyone who a double exclaimation mark (!!) appears above. Anyone who doesn't want to battle, a cross (X) appears above them. It's just that easy!

After you beat the Elite 4 the first time, you afterwards cannot access it again or the Unknown Dungeon (Cerulean Cave). This is because Lorelei has taken leave on 4 Island which is where her house is. You have to beat the Rockets in Icefall Cave and Lorelei thanks you and when you challenge the League again, Lorelei's Slowbro is replaced by a Piloswine, Bruno's Onixs have evolved into Steelix, Agatha's Golbat is replaced by a Crobat and her Haunter by a Misdreavus, one of Lance's Dragonairs has evolved and the other is replaced by a Kingdra and your rival has a couple of his Pokemon replaced by some other Johto Pokemon depending on which starter he has. All their pokemon are higher levels, too. Now you have access to Unknown Dungeon (Cerulean Cave) and Mewtwo!!!

On 5 Island is a place called Memorial Pillar where a guy's Onix (nicknamed Tectonix) is buried. Talk to the guy and he gives you Metal Coat (evolves Onix into Steelix (when held during a trade) and Scyther into Scizor). Place a Lemonade at the pillar, the guy gives you TM49 SNATCH.
