Double U Ranch is located about two and a half miles up Crater Road. The five acre ranch is run and managed by Samantha Wilson. The Double U Ranch borders the trail riding business of Pony Express right off of Haleakala Ranch. The estate is peaceful and beautiful. The private ranch contains a small herd of horses, a roundpen, and three pastures.

I am 16 years old and manage my small ranch called Double U Ranch. I have been riding horses for over nine years now. I started at Piiholo Stables with Jillian Vickers. I have competed in almost everything such as hunters, jumpers, dressage, western pleasure, equitation, rodeo, and polo. At Double U Ranch I train and sell horses, give riding lessons, and compete in different events.

It is summertime now and its hot. During the week I do many different things. Weekday mornings are usually taken over by horse training and in the afternoons I teach lessons. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons are occupied by roping practice at the Haleakala Ranch Arena. Friday afternoons include practice for polo at the indoor Manduke Baldwin polo arena. Saturdays are used for more lessons unless there are any horse events and Sundays are the exciting polo games.
