You can see from this short story (one of many that I will tell you), people may never be what they seem. NEVER EVER trust ANYONE on the internet who you do not know in real life! And, be careful by only talking to the people you know very well, for instance:

Kara was a web-aholic. She was very careful, however, to only add people to her IM buddy list that she knew in real life. A boy, Andy, from her science class asked her to add him to her list. She figured that since she knew him in real life (sorta/kinda) she could add him. The night that she added him he logged on and asked her to meet him at the park by her house. She accepted his offer and went to meet him at the park. The next day...

As you can see, these stories are frightening, but they CAN happen to you, if you're not careful about who you do and do not trust on the internet! HOW TO STOP THEM:
Sadly, there is no sure way to get rid of them for sure, but we can be sure that YOU can be safe by staying away from MYSPACE (unless you don't post anything about you and make your profile private), and other un-safe chatting sites that make you feel uneasy!

He learned a lot about her, and even watched her through her web cam. "He wanted to meet me all of a sudden," she remembers. In August of last year, she was in an Internet chat room, where she often was. She was chatting with some friends when a stranger, cal_night2000, said he wanted to talk, too. Less than 24 hours after his very first hello, cal_night2000 was on the girl's doorstop. Instead of being a 14-year-old boy, he was a 28-year-old man.
