Josefina Martinez was born in Rioverde, SLP. - Mexico. Born in a very diverse family of 13 brothers and sisters. From a upper class family in the town. Daughter of a successful small business owner couple - Josefina Amador-Sanchez and Jose Martinez-Flores. Both extreme entreprenour people. As a kid, Josefina attended the Colegio de la Paz, a selective private school in the region with a catholic education. Later on, she moved to San Luis Potosi, where she graduated from Instituto Tecnologico de San Luis Potosi, majored in Industrial and Labor Relations on the top 10% of the class. In 1999, she started her graduate education at the IPADE (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion), another school recognized as one of the best business schools internationally, and also for it strong link to the Opus Dei, an extremist catholic association that recruits smart students to capture them within their secret society. As she moved on in her career, she had the opportutinty to work in an international assignment in US - Nashville, TN. and because of that, she decideed to leave Mexico and postpone her graduation at the IPADE. While in the US, her career progression seem to picked up and therefore, she decided to stay longer than planned. In 2003, she decided to go back to Business School to finally graduate in May 2005 with an MBA from Goizueta Business School - Oxford Program at Emory University, one of the top 10 business schools in the world. |
