Quote of the Week for April 22-April 29
"Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes."
Unknown
Sura Number 1
Surah-Al-Fateha (The Opening)
I begin in the name of Allah, the Most kind, the most Merciful
1. Praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
2. The Benificient, the Merciful.
3. The master of the day of Judgement.
4. We worship only you, and seek help from you.
5. Guide us on the right path.
6. The path of those whom you have blessed.
7. Not of those with whom you are angry and those who have gone astray.
Explanation of Sura Al-Fateha
The Sura above is the first Sura, or Chapter, in the Qu'ran. It says that praise is for Allah, the lord of all the worlds. It tells us two of Allah's many great attributes of being the Benificient and the Merciful and the Master of the day of Judgement. It says that we worship ONLY Allah and we seek help from Allah. We also ask Allah in the Sura to guide us on the right path, the path of those who Allah has blessed and not the path of those with whom you are angry and those who have gone astray. The last three ayyats of this Sura are very important to us. We NEED to ask Allah for help by guiding us on the right path and we MUST try to stay on the path of whom Allah has blessed not of those who have gone astray, not of those who have made Allah mad.
A Miracle of Islam
A miracle of Islam I can prove to you is this: You might not believe this but look at your left hand and you will see an arabic number 81. It looks like an upside-down triangle and a straight line next to it. Look at your right hand and you will see an arabic 18. It's the same thing except it's switched around. The one is before the 8. If you add those 2 numbers together(81+18) you will get a number 99. In the religion of Islam we believe in the 99 names of Allah(God). Allah is reminding us even through our hands of who we are. So make sure you know who you are. So, if you are not taken by God and only God in any other religion, come to Islam and the doors of heaven will Insha-Allah(God Willing) be wider open for you. Come to Islam and notice how your life will change.
