The gauge at the bottom of the screen increases as the player takes offensive actions, such as moving toward the opponent and attacking, and decreases when the player takes conservative actions, such as back-dashing and remaining in one location for a long time. Be offensive and check up the gauge!
Note: Tension bar is just like the super bar in everyother game. When your tension bar color changes to red, that means that you have 1 super. If it changes to yellow, then you have 2 supers. There is a maximum of 2 supers. If you don't play too defensively, you will get the "Negative Penalty" which will reset your super bar.
