Blue Gnome Cheat:
Pause the game and enter this code with in 3 seconds of pressing the first button of the cheat code. You will hear the sound of a sim moon or make another type of noise if you have done the cheat right.
Note: You HAVE to put in the gnome code if you want to use Fill All Motives or $10,000 (Gives Money). Once you have put in the codes you wanted go over to the blue gnome and click/select him and it will give you the option to select the cheat codes ... there is no limit to how many times you can use these cheat but, you CAN'T use then when you VISIT other people houses, BUT you can if you move there.

Secrets
Avoid Being Fired
If you accidentally miss the bus on your second day of missing work, before the call comes, quickly find another job in the paper or on the net. You can change back to your previous job without being demoted and deducted skill points.
Get "move away" rebate
In Bust Out Mode, if you have made a contribution to the value of the house of the Sim you are staying with, when you move away you will be reimbursed for it. Take advantage of this. Buy something expensive, move away, get reimbursed (automatically), move back and use the Sim Object as if you paid for it. Be careful, if you are in debt when you move away you will have to cough up some Simoleons yourself.
Outdoor only items inside the house
To put items like the children's playground which are only intended for outdoor, can be put inside the house by tearing down one section of a wall so that the inside in now the outside also. Now place the item inside the room and replace the wall.
