This moment is like no other.
To try to make it like the past, or to try to make it match my dream of the future is futile.
When I am in the moment it is alive and vibrant.
When I wish for things to be other than they are I feel sluggish, discontented.
I can see things as a challenge, work excitedly and enthusiastically for change, follow a dream, flesh it into reality.
But that starts with recognition of now, as it is, a beautiful moment, filled with potential.
That's almost like living in the future. How to describe the difference?
It's like learning from the past without dwelling on it, a matter of style, degree.
But being in the moment is unmistakable.
It is when reality shimmers with vitality, smolders with the divine potential, settles in serenity. It is in our stillness, calmness in the face of whatever is.
It is the thrill of reality, clarity, pure being.
