 Fun is for those with peace of mind. Without that peace, fun can become a crazed, frantic search for release. At peace, we become playful lovers, carefree. Holidays, parties, and bars become dangerous places when we have multiple unresolved resentments, hostilities, anger. Whatever is inside us shows up to party and things can get ugly fast. At peace, we are no longer concerned about what people think of us, or offended by innocent actions. We can take a joke. We laugh for the joy of it, simply because we are here. Passion knows no restraint. Kindness and love pour out of us. The frazzled soul doesn't get it, thinks it's stupid or pointless, insults the Host, burns holes in the carpet. At peace we don't need rules. The harmony of the universe guides us. Insane, we need guard rails. True, they still haven't taken my training wheels off, but I did sing Happy Birthday and I can ride around the block all by myself.
