High up in the northern land of Norsca lies a vast mountain-range. In that mountain-range lie many small holds held by dwarf lords. But one of the holds in the Norsca Mountains is called Kraka Drak, the dragon hold, and is not a small hold like the others. Their king is Tolasvir Hruskarin, the high king of Kraka Drak and high king of Norsca. He rules all the smaller kings and lords of Norsca and sometimes when the situation is desperate, he joins them in battle. Tolasvir Hruskarin is a tough old dwarf who wields the Solarflare, a highly unique spear that has been inscribed with a Solhjula rune, Krigmir the Dauntless’ personal rune. Like many other great runes, it died with it's creator. The Solarflare is a highly powerful weapon that can only be used by the kings of Kraka Drak. It enables the king to send it soaring into the air at the command of his voice and to strike any enemy square in the chest. The sheer impact of the spear would feel as if it was launched by a bolt-thrower of immense size and that’s why many, (if not all), have fallen to it’s punch.
The Solarflare is one of the three magical weapons forged by Krigmir and the pressure of creating them were to much for his mortal soul. After creating the Solarflare, (the last magical weapon), he collapsed in his blacksmith and his apprentice, of whom the name was lost, brought him to his bed where he died soon after. Krigmir was the greatest runesmith of all times, but, because of the isolation from the rest of dwarfkind, his name never left Norsca. The other two weapons Krigmir forged were called the Moonsword and the Axe of Stars. The Moonsword was a gift to the king of Karak Vlag but, as Karak Vlag itself, it disappeared to whatever fate it was taken. The Axe of Stars disappeared when Orcs attacked Kraka Drak together with a large band of Trolls and Ogres, and managed to infiltrate into the king’s weapons chamber. Who took it is unknown and the one who took it probably doesn’t have it anymore, but the kings of Kraka Drak have kept searching for it ever since.

Tolasvir Hruskarin’s Equipment: Tolasvir wears heavy gromril armour inscribed with the Master rune of Gromril. (Toughness 10!). He carries the Solarflare, a magical spear described above and below. Upon his crown are the Master rune of Kingship, the rune of passage and the rune of luck. These are also his magical items.

The Solar Flare:
The Solar Flare may be used once per battle. It may be thrown during the
shooting phase. Then the king shouts the ancient runesmith’s name, followed by the Dwarven name for the spear, points out his target, throws the spear high up into the sky, and moments later, watches how it comes soaring down through the sky and pins it’s target down to the floor. (Work out hits as normal. The spear hits with 1S8 hit, causing 2D3 wounds, no armour saves allowed (including saves from dragon scales and the like). And to double that, the spear is a burning weapon, and against creatures as mummies and Treemen, they cause even more wounds. The spear hits automatically). Then, in the same phase, the king shouts the runesmith’s name again, followed by the spears name, and watches as the spear frees itself from the (usually slain) victim and returns to the king’s hand automatically. (If the victim is not slain, it suffers another S5 hit. No extras applied.
In H-t-H, the spear counts as a burning weapon with +1 strength that causes double wounds against creatures such as Treemen and Mummies. Trolls don’t get to regenerate.
