NOTE: It is important to remember that the word "diet" refers to whatever a person eats.
If a person eats nothing but potato chips, then he is on a diet of potato chips...
.....not a very good diet, but a diet nonetheless. Since many people seeking
weight loss (or for other health reasons) have been put on restrictive diets, the
term "diet" has become synonmous with such restrictions. However, such
stringent restrictions may not apply to all diets.



It has become more obvious to many in the field of Diet & Nutrition that the typical
"low calory, low fat" diet is not what it's cracked up to be. The real culprit in fat retention (& probable weight gain) is Carbohydrates.
