Welcome! First Church is a warm, friendly place, we are distinctively Pentecostal in Doctrine, (See, "The 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God Churches page) and also in Practice. We have excellent programs for our Children & Youth. Our Children have their own Church while "Big Church" isbeing held & are led by great Children's Ministers: Mike & Ruby Forbes. The Associate/Youth Pastors are Kelby & Rebekah Edens (my son & his wife). There is also a very good Women's Group, a really exellent way to minister to the ladies. The Pastor is masterful at puppets & along w/ his friend Ed, receive many requests to minister at Children's Crusades & Conventions & also at Children's revivals; they have seen a number of children repeat the Sinner's Prayer & be saved, also, many have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is a great way to get them started receiving the tools they will need to fight the battle, we live in a dark & dangerous world today. God will give them the tools they need to do battle with the enemy of our souls (Satan). We are in a tremendous spiritual battle these days & the Devil doesn't know any age limitations. The Church has an emphasis on Prayer, Missions & Teaching the Word of God to all ages. Evangelism is also emphasized, our Pastor's philosophy seems to be: "Find a need & meet it". This is a very good way the experts tell us to grow a Church. Myself, a former Pastor of 13 yrs., finds this to be very true. We hope to see you in the near future! Former Pastor (Ret.), Rev.
