The People's Republic of China... World's most populous country with 1.3 bn people... With world's fastest devoloping economy... With the communist mechinery of administration - On the mounting. Here we a small number of malyali expatriates actively take part in the process.

Kerala: the God's Own Country and we malayalies: special specious.. There is no bountry for us to travel.. No limit to adjust to any situation.. No reluctance to accommodate to any circumstances.. That ability made malayalies to have been every nook and corner of the Earth.. Nothing, but that same quality enables us to seek bread and butter in China

THE SILK ROAD TO PROSPIRITY

As far as businessmen are concerned the soil of China is fertile. The joining of World Trade Organization and the open up policy have made China most atractive destination of international traders. The hospitality industry in China now enjoys crazy advantage on the situation and in a big boom. However, the life of malayali expatriates is not at all easy and need to take advance precaution against mental stress.

FLY OVER THE HIMALAYAS

Fly from Delhi to Hong Kong is a four hours jurney. From there to 'Fuzhou' capital of south east China's 'Fujian' province takes one and half hour more. It was the travel itinerary in 2002. Recently, Silk air operates flights from Cochin to Singapore four hours fly and from their an other four hours to fuzhou by same airline.

THE LANGUAGE

Mandarin is the national language and the same is the most exercised languge on the globe.It is the most dificult language to learn and most richest in charectors.There are thousends of charectors in Mandarin and it is indispensable learning several hundreds to be able to manage reading and writing.Most of the citizens could speak Mandarin and most of them could't speak English or any other foreign langauge.As far as the expatriates are concerned knowing a few basic words in Chinese is a mean to break the ice. There are hundreds of local languages in use and so most of the citizens have a mother toung besides Mandarin.
