"Well, let's get this over with as quickly as possible," Cantar said re-sheathing his sword and scythe.
"Cantar, I wouldn't put those away, no telling what the next tunnel holds," Amon said
"Yes, I know but I figure I can draw them faster than the enemy can get to me."
"I guess so."
Our heroes continued down to the second tunnel in silence. Then Hazam spoke up, "I wonder what this challenge will be."
"Well, we are about to find out here we are," Janet answered.
"Doesn't look like there are any monsters here," Dantrus pointed out.
Just then a shadow appeared in the middle of the tunnel, "Welcome, travelers. If you wish to pass this tunnel you must answer three riddles."
"What is the first riddle?" Cantar asked.
"You have three clues and three guesses for the first riddle. The clues are: round, cheese, and pale."
"Sour cheese?" Janet said questionably.
"No, that is one guess."
"It is easy," Hazam said. "It's the moon."
"That is correct. I see the youngest one is smart."
"Yeah, yeah," Dantrus blurted out impatiently. "Give us the next riddle."
"This time you only have two clues and guesses. Legend and sword."
"Legend and sword?" Amon repeated the clues.
"What does legend and sword have to do with each other?" Cantar asked himself.
"Legend, sword, hmmmmmm." Dantrus said puzzled.
"I got it!" Janet yelled. "It's the legendary sword Daku."
"Exactly! This one is among the toughest riddles of all. One clue, one guess, if you miss you have to leave or face my pet. The clue is glass."
"Sand!" Dantrus jumped to the conclusion.
"Wrong! The answer was fire. Now for the final riddle, leave or face my pet!"
Our heroes huddled, "We need to pass so we have to fight!" Cantar said.
"I agree." Hazam said.
"I do too," Dantrus added.
"We do too," Amon said talking for both her and Janet.
"We all agree to take your 'pet' out!" Cantar exclaimed.
"OK, Precious go get dinner."
"Precious," Cantar started laughing uncontrollable until he saw what they where up against. A dog as big as Tran was standing in front of them.
"Cantar, are you sure this is a good idea?" Amon asked.
"We have no choice now," Hazam pointed out that the shadow had disappeared. "Flame," Hazam used his favorite magic spell in hopes that it would fry the beast. The dog like monster just ate the flame.
"That didn't work," Cantar drew his scythe and sword and charged the massive beast. He slashed at it's head but the beast whacked him with his paw and knocked him out of the way.
"I have a plan," Dantrus said charging the beast with his spear and lance in hand. Dantrus launched the spear at the beast's head, it blocked. It didn't notice Dantrus continuing his charge and he shoved his lance in the beast's hind leg.
"Good move Dantrus," Janet said releasing and arrow at the beast while it was riding in pain. She nailed it in it's other hind leg.
The beast let out a huge breath of fire sending the close Dantrus flying. "Dantrus!" Hazam yelled.
"Three on one, and it has already knocked out two of our best fighters," Amon said disappointed.
"OK, who goes next?" Hazam asked.
"Why take turns lets attack at once," Amon suggested.
"Sure, Hazam electrify this arrow and when I shot it Amon rush up and hit it with your axe," Janet planned.
Janet loaded her bow and Hazam used lightning on it. Janet let go and Amon charged the monster. The beast melted the arrow with a blast of fire. When Amon got there the beast whacked her away with it's paw.
Cantar made his way back to the group and so did Dantrus. Amon on the other hand was laying down on the ground.
Cantar drew his mace and put his sword away. Cantar flung his mace at the beast and then charged the beast. The beast swatted the mace away, but Cantar caught it and flung it at the beast again. The mace drove Dantrus' spear through the beasts head and through the other side.
The beast let out a sorrowful growl as it laid down for the last time. "Well, that was fun," Cantar said retrieving his mace and Dantrus' spear.
Hazam went to check on Amon, she was fine and our heroes continued.
"Well, here is the third tunnel," Dantrus pointed out.
"Yeah, I guess the test is to get past it," Amon said.
"So what are we going to do? Move them by hand?" Cantar asked.
"That is what it looks like," Janet said.
"What about your powers, Amon?" Hazam asked
"I don't want to test my luck at this point and time."
"Good point," Hazam said.
They started to move the rocks when Cantar spoke up, "Did you guys here that?"
"Here, what?" Dantrus asked.
"I think I heard something."
"I didn't hear a thing," Amon said.
They started moving rocks again and this time Hazam spoke up, "I heard something just now."
"See, it isn't just me."
"Well, what did it sound like?" Janet asked.
"It sounded like a hiss of some sort," Hazam said.
"That is what it sounded like to me."
"Well, let's just keep moving rocks and if we see something weird we'll take it out," Amon said
They moved the rocks so they could fit through to the next part. Dantrus was the first one to the top and he looked down. "Guys, I don't think the rocks where the test."
"What do you mean?" Amon asked.
"Look down."
Everyone looked to the ground and there laid a nest of snakes. "What are we going to do about these snakes?" Janet asked.
"We are going to take them out," Amon said.
"Amon, snakes are poisonous. If we get to close they will bite us and we will die," Cantar pointed out.
"You're right. What are we going to do?"
"I have an idea," Hazam said.
"Vortex?" Cantar asked him.
"Yes, Vortex!" A giant tornado formed and destroyed all of the snakes.
"All right let's head out to the forth tunnel," Janet said.
They headed toward the forth tunnel. When they got there they saw not one but two tunnels. "I guess our test is to find the correct tunnel to go through," Dantrus guessed.
"No, I've heard this is where people get stopped at and they have to turn around. We have to go through both tunnels complete both tasks. A third tunnel will appear and that is the true fourth tunnel," Amon informed everyone.
"Why don't we split up and take the two tunnels separately," Dantrus asked.
"That's fine. Dantrus and I will take the left tunnel," Cantar said.
"OK, then Amon, Hazam, and I will take the right tunnel."
Dantrus and Cantar------------------ Left tunnel
"I wonder what the test is going to be?" Dantrus asked himself.
"Yeah, me too," Cantar informed him.
Just then a black orb flew down at them. "Who is there?!" Dantrus yelled.
"Two of the destined are here! Get them!" a figure yelled.
"I guess we found out the challenge," Cantar said.
Six zombies appeared in front of Cantar and Dantrus.
"Three for each?"
"Yeah."
Cantar drew his sword and his mace. Dantrus drew his spear and lance.
"ATTACK!!!" the figure yelled and one zombie approached each hero.
Cantar swung his mace. The zombie grabbed it and threw it to the ground. Cantar thrusted his sword at it and cut it's arm off.
Dantrus, on the other hand, had an easier time. He threw his spear at a stalagmite on the ceiling. It fell right on the zombie re-killing it immediately.
Finally Cantar thrusted his sword through the zombie destroying it.
"No one on one! Two on one! GO!" The other four zombies attack Dantrus and Cantar. Cantar had drew his scythe and Dantrus re-grabbed his spear.
Cantar swung his scythe down into one of the zombie's head, but it wasn't destroyed. Both zombies attacked Cantar at the same time and he fell to the ground. Cantar flipped over the zombie with the scythe in his head and grabbed the handle. He flung the zombie into a stalagmite in the ceiling and it went through the stalagmite. Cantar then took his sword and threw it like it was a frisbee at the zombie and cut it in half.
Dantrus had a harder time with his enemies. First he shoved his spear into the ground and spun around on it kicking his opponents several times. After that each zombie grabbed two of Dantrus' legs and he fell right into his spear. He started bleeding from his face and then he went ballistic. He shoved his hand through one's stomach. Then he headbutted the other one into the wall.
"How could my zombies be defeated. AGH!" The figure disappeared.
Hazam, Janet, Amon----------------- Right Tunnel.
They walked until they couldn't walk anymore. They stood in front of a lava pit looking down at it.
"This is great, a pool of lava that we need to cross," Amon said obviously getting annoyed.
"How are we going to cross this?" Hazam said.
They both looked over at Janet who was searching for something in her bag. "Here it is!"
"What?" Amon asked.
"I'm going to tie this rope to an arrow and shoot it across the pit. Then we can inch our way on the rope to the other side."
"Good idea," Hazam said.
Janet tied the rope to the end of an arrow and fired it at the wall. She didn't expect the room to be slanted and the arrow hit the ceiling. "Looks like we are swinging across." She put her bow around her back and grabbed the rope. She got a running start and swung across the lava pit. The other two followed.
"Now what? It doesn't look like there is an exit," Hazam observed.
Just then and earthquake caused stairs to appear in front of them. "That answers your question, Hazam," Amon smartly commented.
They started to climb the stairs but as they stepped on to one it would fall in a matter of seconds. "RUN!" Janet yelled.
They took off up the stairs as fast as they could. Each step that fell revealed more and more lava. They finally reached a floating platform and stopped to catch their breath. "That was fun," Amon said gasping for breath. "But now what?"
"Very good, three of the destined are here," a figure appeared before them.
"Who are you?" Hazam asked
"You'll find out soon. Zombies ATTACK!" Nine zombies appeared in front of them and they prepared for battle. Then the figure disappeared.
"We have to fight over a lava pit. This is bad!" Janet said re-grabbing her bow.
"Yes, it is very bad," Hazam said taking out his staff.
"Who cares? This has to be the trail," Amon informed them drawling her axe.
Two zombies charged each hero. Amon blasted one of the ledge with the same spell she used against a troll earlier. Then she swung her axe at the other one slicing it in half. She then booted the top half of the ledge into the lava pit.
Janet's rope had swung over to the ledge somehow and she had grabbed it. She reloaded her bow with it and shot a zombie in the head. She grabbed the end of the rope and spun it around and the zombie flew off the edge. She loaded her bow with an arrow. "Ice arrow!" The arrow froze and it hit the zombie. The zombie was immediately frozen.
Hazam shoved his rod through one of the zombie's stomach. He picked the staff up over his head and the other zombie charged him. He slammed the rod, with the other zombie, down on it and both zombies' body parts flew all over the room.
The other three zombies tried to run. Janet shot one with an arrow sending it flying into a wall, it was stuck there. Hazam used a fire spell and it disintegrated. Amon used a lightning spell witch fried the zombie.
All~Tunnel4
"Looks like we passed the test," Cantar said eyeing the newly formed tunnel.
"Let's just go," Amon said walking toward the tunnel.

Well, end of chapter four. Four out of the seven tests are over and the next three will be in chapter 9.
