Every mother loves to be pregnant! They like to watch their bellies grow as the child (or children) they are carrying are born. A pregnancy belly cast is created by cutting rolls of casting material into various lengths, applying several layers of wet plaster strips to the front of the Mommy's body. Then a non-petrolium jelly is applied to moms skin first to keep the casting material from sticking to her skin as it dries. After the casting strips have set, they will hold her shape, the cast will come away from her body and she will have a permanent record of how beautiful she looked during her pregnancy.
Many mothers enjoy many fun festifities with their bellies while pregnan. For example: belly paintings at Halloween and Easter or having your other children put their hand prints on their bellies in paint while Daddy and the Grand Parents takes pictures! These are memorable moments for pregnant women. That is why I am opening Belly Basics Belly Casting!
Belly Basics allows you to Cast your pregnant belly so that you can always have that part of you even after the baby(s) is/are born! This is an excellent way to preserve your pregnant belly in 3D and once the cast is set, you can decorate it!
You can do several things to the Belly Cast after its finished.
For example:
* Have a laquare finish put on it and either have it mounted to a base or hung up.
* Have a paint of your choice put on it, then a laquare finish to preserve it.
* Put a few of your sonogram pictures of the baby on it, then have a laquare finish put on it.
* Put the baby's foot prints on it with his/her name on it!
These are just a few ideas that we can do with your Belly Casting!
Times of how fast the Belly Basics Belly Cast vary by how many layers are applied. You want a good sturdy cast so you want to have atleast 3-4 layers to ensure its thickness.
