Autism affected me when my son was at the age of 2 years old. I was first concerned when he was not talking at 18 months old. He had not even said "Mama" yet so I was concerned to say the least. Nothing really impacted my life until I picked up Karen Seroussi's Novel "Unravelling the mystery's of Autism/PDD". This book is first and foremost for everybody to pick up and read whether or not they have a child or work with a child with Autism. I will also say that learning of the gift within my son developed me to create the skill within me to research the disorder etc... I keep up to date with all my research, and I cannot stress enough the very importance of continuing to do it for one's self. |
