This episode starts off with Dot in the diner, working on her schedule. Bob and Enzo walk in and Dot gets upset because Enzo's late for his ancient languages class. Bob says she's too preprogrammed and she gets angry. They get in a big fight and Bob leaves, saying that he'd rather kiss a null then to step back in the diner again.
After he leaves, Enzo asks if Dot really meant what she said. She said she can get along fine without him.
Suddenly a tear opens up right in the diner and all the customers freak out. Dot tries to hit the tear out the door with a stool, but ends up blowing up the diner instead.
Enzo goes to Phong for help. The old sprite gives him advice by saying "a broken friendship is best mended by tragedy or apology." Enzo then gets an idea and leaves.
With the help of a camera crew, Enzo sets up a dramatic scene where he pretends to be kidnapped by Megabyte. He then sends a vidwindow to both Dot and Bob telling them to save him and that he's being held captive at Old Man Pearson's Data Dump.
Enzo then ties himself onto a conveyer belt hooked up to this grinding machine, and turns it on. Dot and Bob arrive, but before they could save him they see each other and start fighting again. They're so into the argument that Frisket has to save Enzo instead.
Enzo tries once again to mend their friendship. This time he sends them each a fake card (From Halomark.)The card tells them to meet in the park so they can talk about how 'sorry' they are.
Dot and Bob meet and for a minute they get along fine. Then a game drops down and Dot mentions something about the card he 'sent' her. He gets suspicious.
The game drops and for a minute they start arguing. The user takes this time to escape and set the time bomb. For awhile they go after the User separately, but then they realize that they have to start to work together. They finally do and with Bob's help Dot manages to send the User off into space.
The time bomb is still clicking and Dot has to get to the level floor fast. She jumps over the rail and Bob saves her with Glitch. She does a nice flip to the computer and puts the key in the slot, stopping the bomb. The game's over and leaves.
Dot and Bob get along now, and they walk along, commenting how great the other one is. Enzo is nearby with Mike the TV and another binome, complaining how his plan failed. Then he sees Bob and Dot walk off together and he's baffled.
