We, the fraternities and sororities at the University of Connecticut, will epitomize the model Greek community. We will be known locally and nationally for our consistent commitment to fraternal excellence. Our guiding principles will be scholarship, service, and the continual moral development of students. Committed to challenging the status quo, we will be an assest to the University, respected and supported by the campus community and valued by our fraternal members. We will foster lifelong bonds of friendship, anchored in unity and mutual respect. As UConn's fraternities and sororities, we will work collaboratively in order to provide opportunities and resources necesssary to develop ethical student leaders who lead by example. We will be unified in our attempt to support a racially and culturally diverse community that promotes positive campus dialogue and will serve as role models for other students and student organizations. |

- We will know and understand the ideals expresses in our fraternity Rituals and will strive to incorporate them in our daily lives.
- We will strive for academic achievement and practice academic integrity.
- We will respect the dignity of all persons; therefore, we will not physically, mentally, psychologically or sexually abuse or haze any human being.
- We will protect the health and safety of all human beings.
- We will respect our property and the property of others; therefore, we will neither abuse nor tolerate the abuse of property.
- We will meet our financial obligations in a timerly manner.
- We will neither use nor support the use of illegal drugs; we wukk neither abuse nor support the abuse of alcohol.
- We acknowledge that a clean and attractive environment is essential to both physical and mental health; therefore, we will do all in our power to see that the chapter property is properly cleaned and maintained.
- WE will challenge our fraternity members to abide by these fraternal expectations and will confront those who violate them.

The mission of the All Greek Council shall be to commit to upholding the highest moral, academic and theical standards upon which all member organizations were founded; to change inappropriate "traditions" which defy the ideals of our founding rituals; and to accept a higher level of accountability of individual Greek members, chapters, and member councils. |
