Chapter One- Written By: Benor
Rain spattered the man's face, as the storm swept across the planet. He stared up, uncaring of the moisture-he had more important things on his mind. He had detected great powers here, and he needed to find them. /Without them/, he thought, /I am helpless-a position I'm not used to/. How they reached such heights on this insignificant mudball was not his concern; their help was all that he required. /I only wonder if they are up to the task..../
* * * *
It was a bright day at Kame House as the sun dawned; it was hard to believe that a thunderstorm had swept over it only last night. Kuririn yawned as he woke up; /I need to get more sleep/, he noted. This thought was forced from his head as he felt the large ki approaching the island. It was unfamiliar; a bad sign. Kuririn leapt out of bed, and changed into his fighting uniform as fast as possible. If it was heading here, he needed to be ready.
Kuririn walked out the front door, his outer appearance calm, even as his mind began to panic. /I'm having trouble locking down their size, which is another problem; if I don't know the strength, I won't know what I'm dealing with-or whether I can fight it/. Kuririn forced himself to focus. If he let his mind wander, he could be ambushed. Kuririn watched the figure descend, and prepared himself for battle.
Chapter Two- Written By: Little Man
But it turned out that he had little reason to be afraid. Down from the sky a small but not very intimidating man descended, very lightly touching his feet onto the fresh grass of the small island. /Nice place, too bad it wont be here for much longer../ the man known as Little Man thought to himself, and then he took notice of the small, bald-headed fighter posed ready to fight him. Both men knew not of the terrible battle they were soon to take part in, and didn't imagine that only one of them would come out alive.
Taking a deep breath, Kuririn slowly brought himself out of his stance to greet his old friend. Although he hadnt seen Vegod (Little Man was his nickname) since he was a little child, he recognized him quickly. They had only know each other for a short period of time and had come to respect each others fighting abilities. None of Kuririns friends even knew Little Man existed.
Little Man!!! What brings you here? Kuririn yelled to his old buddy.
Sorry Baldy, Im not here for a reunion. I need your help. The stranger known as Little Man spoke surprisingly strong for such a tiny frame.
Sensing the emotion behind the words, Kuririn responded with What is it Vegod, I havent seen you so serious since we fought that Horoat maniac.
After taking in a deep breath, Little Man responded, There is a problem. A dark force of unimaginable power is after me, and ..."
Chapter Three-Written By: SSJM @st@
A large man with dagger jumped out of the bushes, interrupting Vegod in mid-sentence. Vegod turned to look at him, as he became wied-eyed seeing the man yelling a war cry and jumping at him, dagger outstretched.
/Crap!/ he thought as he dodged out of the way to the right and brought his elbow down on the man's arm, causing him to drop his weapon. He grabbed his arm and reared back in pain, glaring at Little Man and Krillan in great contempt.
"You two are dead!" he exclaimed as he jumped forward. Inches from Krillan's face, he shot a powerful beam directly at him. As well as knocking Krillan back, he flew back a few yards. He landed jumping immediately back at Vegod.
They both paused momentarily to watch Krillan fly off into the ocean. Simultaneously they looked back at each other. Little Man, who was much smaller, unloaded a kick first. It went into the man's shin. Meanwhile, the man punched down onto Little Man's head. The hits connected at the exact same time, and Little Man went down unconsious as the man grabbed his shin in agony.
/That little ------- packs some power!/
Master Roshi ran out to see what was going on, and as he saw the man, he screamed.
"Who, Who are you?!?" he squealed.
The man offhandedly shot a blast at him as he picked up Vegod and flew off.
Chapter Four- Written By: Yamcha
Suddenly the mans ankle is grabed, causeing him to drop Little Man. "Leaving so soon ugly!" Yamcha yelled as he swung the him back to the earth. Krillin quickly caught his friend and placed him next to the bushes. "Don't worry Vegod, we'll get him for you." Krillin whistpers...
Krillin runs around the corner, and see's that the fight has clearly begun. Yamcha lashes out like a mad man, trying to keep the unknown attacker from mounting a come back. "Here I come!" Krillin strikes the man on the side of the face. The blow catches him off gaurd. He steps back.
"I don't know who you are, but we will have Vegod." The man assumes an attack stance. "Krillin what is he talking about?" Krillin contiues to stare at the man. "I'm not sure, he took me out before my friend could explain. He would have got away if you hadn't come." Yamcha smiles. "I was going to see if you wanted to join me in some extreme training. I saw this guy blast Master Roshi, and figured you could us the assist."/"Thanks Yamcha. So what do you say we take this nut job?"
Yamcha looks at the man, and laughs. Krillin vanishes and appears behind the attacker, taking his stance. Yamcha takes his stance and screams..."WOLF WIND ATTACK!" He speeds toward his opponent with Krillin coming quickly from tha back. "Come on then! Let's see just how tough you two are!" The man prepares for the dual strikes...
Chapter Five-Written By: Magihunter
The man built up his ki in both hands, his aura suddenly burst into an incredible light. He then quickly spread his arms out into an arc. His blast shot off in two directions, one to kuririn and the other right into Yamcha's attack!
Kuririn had enough time to dodge but Yamcha was taken by surprise and hit head on. He flew strait into Kame House, knocking over the wall.
Kuririn snickered,"You know Yamcha, I've never actually seen that attack of yours work." He grew serious again, raised an arm, and yelled KI...EN...ZAN!
Chapter Six- Written by: Ultimate Being
In a flash the disc was thrown. The man with the dagger barley had time to move."AAAAAAA..uhh.. not quick enough," the man with the dagger said as blood spilled were where his arm had recently been." Nice shot Krillian," Yamcha said." Before we go on, why are you here for Little Man"?
"I'm here for revenge, sweet revenge. See not too long ago me and shorty were in a tournament, a really big tournament. Me and him were fighting for the title champinship. Before the fight me and him were drinking in our break between fights. When I turned to talk to my other friend he slipped a sleeping drug in my glass, I was so drugged up. One hit and I was out. AND YOU"LL PAY FOR THAT"!!!!! After that he shot a huge ki blast right at Little man,a direct hit."NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO," Krillian screamed. As the dust cleared Little Man was dead."YOU"LL BOTH PAY FOR MY AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRMMMMM"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chapter Seven-Written By: Lunar 2
And pay they did. Before Krillin had a chance to move the man flung his right leg into his chest knocking him out. Yamcha tried to charge up a new move of his.
"Spirit Bomb Attack!", Yamcha yelled.
Just as blue chi started to appear in his hand, the large man took a hidden knife from his clothes and flung it straight into Yamcha's heart. He began to walk over to Krillin to finish him off.
"Yeah dickhead!", a high pitched voice caled out, "Why don't you fight someone as strong as you!"
The large man looked over and in the direction of the voice. There stood a tall thin man with long blond hair tied in a pony tail. He was wearing dark green training clothing with a black belt tied around it.
"Who are you?", the large man yelled.
"My name is Lunar of Avalon. Prepare to die scum"
Lunar charged at the man. First he landed a roundhouse kick on his face. Then he attacked with a 1-2-punch combo on his ribs. He finished it off with an upercut to the man's jaw.
"You think you've won", the large man said, blood streaming from his face, "I haven't even started fighting yet. Get ready, cause this is all gonna be over REALLY soon!"
Chapter Eight-Written by: Krillin (me)
"Heh! You haven't even seen the ultimate attack, punk." The man's ki turned blue, his aura knocking Lunar to the ground. His black cloak fell to the ground, and it revealed to be a huge man, with two fists that were made from steel. He took no notice to anyone except Lunar. "Time to die." "If I go... I'M TAKING YOU TO HELL WITH ME! KA...ME...HA... ME...HAAAAA!" An orange blast exploded from his hands sending The man to the ground. "You can't defeat me... I AM VIRGO!"
Chapter Nine-Written By:Ridureyu
"...because I AM VIRGO!"
Ridureyu watched from his ship as the two titans fought it out.
Fools.
He knew that he had the upper hand.
But... where was the one called Little Man?
For it was against Little Man that he was going to have his revenge!
/I shall destroy you.../ he thought.
Chapter Ten-Written by: Legendary SSJ
Ridereyu took to the air and flew towards the two warriors. "Lunar," he shouted, "Leave Virgo alone."
Lunar immediatly stopped his attack. "Yes, sir."
"Did I miss something," Krillan asked, "Who the hell are you guys?"
"I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself yet. I am Ridereyu and that, as you may already know, is Lunar, the first mate of my ship."
Virgo was puzzled as well. "What are you doing here?"
"I was about to ask you the same question."
"I was here to kill Little Man."
"Then we share a common goal."
"Hello!" Krillan shouted, "What about me over here? Why are people trying to kill me?"
Ridereyu turned towards the bald warrior. "What did Little man come here for?"
"To get protection from that guy," he said pointing at Virgo. "We're childhood friends."
Ridereyu laughed. "Figures."
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Was he always a space pirate."
Krillan was shocked. "What do you mean?"
"Your little friend here works for a group of con artsist who like to screw people over."
Krillan was speechless.
"I feel I need to explain more. I once was a very wealthy universal trader. Me and my crew of 15 transported numorus things through out the galaxy. We found Little Man stranded on a desert planet in the middle of nowhere. We took him in and took care of him.
"After we gained his trust, he backstabbed us. Him anda group of other pirates attacked andkilled everyone on our ship but Lunar and I. We're out to get payback."
"Same here," Virgo said, "He screwed me at a tournament."
"Are you saying he was going to do that to me?" Krillan asked.
Lunar nodded his head in afirmation. "And now we need your help. You see, now that Littla Man's dead, we can move on to the other members of his little group. That requires a little more man power. Are you up to the challenge?"
"I am," Virgo interrupted. "I want revenge!"
Krillan was speechless. So many things were running through his head. /How could he betray me?/ "I'll do it," Krillan said, "I need something to do anyway." I can get a few friends to help me as well."
"Good," Ridereyu replied. "Meet me here in twenty-four hours."
They suddenly hearda noise behind them. They turned and saw Yamcha, barely alive. "Krillan," he said, "Why aren't you fighting them."
"It's a long story buddy," he said. "Here." He tossed him a senzu seed. he ate it and was instantly recovered.
"Oh," Ridereyu said, "Bring some of that with you."
*********************************
Twenty-four hours passed and they all meet at the Kame house. Besides Ridereyu, Virgo, Lunar and Krillan, there was Yamcha and Tien. the 6 of them were ready to leave. They all boarded Ridereyu's ship and took off to confront Little Man's superiors.
To be continued.....
*******PART TWO******
Chapter One Written By: Legendary SSJ
The deep vastness of space was like a never ending plane of darkness. It streched out as far as the eye could see. All the while, a man watched through the window of his spaceship. The man, known to the rest of the galaxy as Crystal, turned to his right hand assistant Gem who had come up behind him. "Greatings, Lord Crystal," he said, "I'm sorry to say I bring you bad news."
"Speak," he replied with a monotonus tone to his voice.
"Little Man is dead."
Crystal froze. he just stared not even breathing yet he remained so calm that it startled Gem. "Who killed him?" he asked.
"An earthling he was sent to work named Krillan. His last transmitted message also told us of the appearance of Ridureyu."
"What the hell is he doing?"
"I think we both know the answer to that question."
"Damn."
"There were others. Men named Lunar, Virgo and Yamcha. We can expect that they will come here."
"Five of them against my forces?"
"We don't know for sure. There may be more."
Crystal turned back towards the window. Get the strongest warriors in the meeting room in one hour."
Gem knew better than to question Crystal's authority. he replied with a simple "yes, sir" and then laughed.
************************************************
Ridureyu, Lunar, Virgo, Krillan, Yamcha and Tien were all gathered in the dining section of the ship eating a meal while Ridureyu explained the situation more clearly. "There main base is located on the planet Tallus," he said as the others watched attentively. "They will have many forces, all of which are weak and as many as ten warriors with strength equal to ours. Little Man was nothing compared to the rest, especially Crystal, the leader. He is one of the most powerful warriors in the universe. It's said that no one has ever even come close to beating him."
"Excuse me," Krillan interupted, "We'll need to train for this fight."
Ridureyu smiled. "I want to show you something. He got up and walked out of the room. it wasn't long before others followed. They were all led to a huge room filled with enough space for 100 people to train. "Wow," Yamcha said, "I think I'm gonna like it here."
"Train as much as you can," Ridureyu replied, "We'll be there soon."
With that he left the warriors to train.
************************************************
Crystal was standing in the meeting room with Gem by his side. In front of him were eight of the strongest warriors in his organization. They were Jewel, Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz, Pearl and Turquise. "Listen up," Crystal said, "We are about to fight a tough battle with a bunch of little -------- who thing that they can destroy the greatest group of con artists that ever lived. Who's with me in stopping them?.
"We are sir!" they all shouted in unison.
"Good. We must prepare for their arrival."
Chapter Two Written by: Little Man
Training was very different for each of the fighters. Without the sweat and determination of the earthly fighters, Crystal's army of Con-artists were less apt at the talent of making themselves stronger. Sitting in a weightroom, half-heartedly lifting weights, the men named Jewel and Topaz struck up a conversation.
"So, what's the Crystal man paying ya?" Jewel asked.
Topaz just looked at Jewel and let a small smile form on his face. Jewel was new at his job, but he was well-fitted for it. Standing a good foot taller then the rest of the men in the room, his arms bulged and his ability to manipulate Ki was very great. His short, green hair was cut in military fashion, and his outfit was shining like a baby's bottom. He had only seen few battles, and didn't know the entire truth behind Crystal's empire.
"I do my job because I'm told. Money is not the only reason. I like to kill." He replied.
Jewel looked Topaz over, and for the first time noticed how the multiple scars, torn clothing, and deep staring eyes gave him the look of a killer. He shuddered at the thought. Then he laid back down on the bench and put in a few more sets.
************************************************
Back at Ridureyu's hangout, the small force of men prepared much differently. Sparring against one another, running laps, and launching all-out energy attacks against a special wall was only the half of it.
A short while earlier Ridureyu introduced a new feature to his training room. Walking over to a small dile on the wall, he cranked it to the left. Almost instantly everyone in the room crashed to the ground. Gravity was one of the best tools for training.
Krillin, who thought of himself as being one of the strongest humans, was startled to find that he wasn't half as strong as Ridureyu. Not only that, he had trouble keeping up with Virgo and Yamcha. Lunar, it seemed, was the only one he could out fight. This didn't set well with him.
This, along with the fact that his old friend Little Man was dead, drove him to become stronger then he ever had been. Ridureyu had said that they would commence thier attack in six days, so everyone trained as hard as possible.
************************************************
"Sir, we've recieved word from our inside man that they plan to attack in six days." Gem told his leader as he tried to keep from direct eye contact.
"Yes, our 'inside man', Yamcha. He will help us out greater then any of our hired hands. Make appropriate plans for defense of our command center. If they manage to break through, It's you who will suffer the most."
"Yes sir." Gem replied well sweat gleamed on his forehead. He knew that Crystal wouldn't lie about something like that, and he was afraid. He had six days.
Chater Three Written By: Takira
Yamcha clenched his fists spasmodically, drowning in memories...of all the times he'd failed his friends. All his deaths came back at him. All the fights he'd lost; battles where he'd barely managed to buy time for his friends before being defeated. /No longer/ he thought angrily. /This time I will not be a burden. I'm going in first, and I'll finish them like I should have finished so many others. Krillin, you're not the only one here for vengeance./ He tried to practice his technique again, but felt the hyperpod shudder as his power level rose. Quickly he stilled. /Better not risk it. This poor little pod can't take much. I'll just have to hope the training I've done is enough./ He curled into a ball and tried to sleep.
On the other ship, the initial shock of Yamcha's disappearance had passed. Lunar was sent to the rejuvination tank, still protesting that they were heading to their deaths. Rideyu and Virgo looked over the log again to make sure they had missed nothing. Krillin and Tien looked at each other, shrugged, and returned to training, but neither had his mind on fighting. They were lost in thought, each harboring his own ideas, not daring to share them with the other. Krillin's mind was reeling. So much had happened so quickly he didn't know what to think. It seemed impossible that Yamcha could betray them, and yet.../What if they offered him another stone like that, or some other form of increased power? All his life he's felt like his fighting skills were inferior. This could have been the chance he'd been waiting for. But would he sacrifice all of us for it?/ He couldn't really believe it, but the thought nagged at him.
Tien, too was preoccupied. He'd fought at Yamcha's side, and yet still didn't feel like he truly knew the man. But then, he was used to companions like Chaozu, and he knew few people formed bonds like that. /Yamcha's used to being the underdog; maybe he finally wised up and decided to use strategy to win the fight. I don't think he realizes what he's up against, though. I only hope we arrive before his mistake does him in./ He grunted as one of Krillin's half-hearted kicks struck him in the ribs. /Yamcha, you've suffered too much. Why do you keep courting death?/ |
