Advantages/ Disadvantages of the North
The North had some advantages going into the war. They had mass production, so they could replace parts in guns quicker then the South. They had money for an army so they could have supplies, guns, medicine, food, and clothes. The north had transportation so they could get to places quicker. The North could communicate with the President and other troops quicker because they had the technology, and the North had a navy so they could attack from the sea and block merchants going into the South.

Some disadvantages were in an offensive war were they didn’t know the land very well. The North’s leaders were not the best unlike Lee who was general of the South, because they weren’t following orders from Lincoln. The soldiers in the North troops were forced to sign up and they didn’t care about being there they just wanted to go home and didn’t care about anyone.
