John Wilkes Booth
One of the many people who were upset about how the war ended was John Wilkes Booth. Five days after the Civil War ended President Abrham Lincoln went to the theater. During the play Booth went up to the State Box and shot him in the head. He then jumped out of the State box and landed on the stage were he there showed his knife to the audience and Mrs. Lincoln screamed.

Booth was an actor who plnned to kidnapped Lincoln and take him to Richmond and declare him as a Prisoner of War (POW), but his planned failed. After Lee surrendered to Grant Booth changed his planed from kidnapped to assassination.

On April 26 Booth was hidden in a barn when the barn was set on fire and Federal Official, Sergeant Boston Corbett, shot him dead.
