The Civil War lasted 2 year between the South and the North. The North was called the Union and wore blue uniforms. 23 states were part of the Union, 11 Confederate states, and 4 Border States. The Border States finally joined the north. The south states were called the confederate and wore gray uniforms. The capitals were Washington D.C. for the Union and Richmond Virginia for the Confederates. The President of the Union North was Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis was the Confederate president.
