I bow to thee my mother land,
With great devotion thee garland;
Upon thy sacred golden sand,
Humbly saluting thee I stand.
Stand guard Himalayan Mountains,
With peaks the blue kissing;
Spring hot salubrious fountains,
Humanity blessing;
Enthralling water falls many,
Adorn thy sceneries;
Ever flowing rivers many,
Enrich thy granaries.
Obedience the seas display,
Touching thy sacred feet;
With waves that on thy beaches play,
Where angels by nights meet;
Of pearls and gems, invaluable,
Thy bounteous treasure;
And glory, most memorable,
Grant us immense pleasure.
Conscious thy sons of their office,
Through acts of bravery;
And marvellous self sacrifice,
Retrieved from slavery;
Their great legacy makes me proud,
To be an Indian;
Jai Hind! Jai Hind! I hail aloud,
A worthy Indian.
A poem by Dr.Y.Kamalakar Sai.
