New Pokemon in Gold/Silver

Donfan (left picture) which many liken to an elephant, has a rubber-tire type shell and a long snout. It closely resembles Saihoon/Rhyhorn (right picture) from the Red and Blue version, and this has lead many to believe that it is a probable Ground type Pokemon. Another conjecture is that Donfan can only evolve by using the GameBoy link cable.

Otachi (left picture) is a new Pokemon that many think is a giant flying squirrel. Its name "O" means "Tail" and "Tachi" means "Stand". As such, you'll probably see it standing on its tail and living in trees. Otachi bears a strong resemblance to Mariru (right picture) and many believe that it could be evolved from Mariru.

The picture on the left shows a Pokemon egg, which is one of the new features in Gold and Silver. As many know, Pokemon in the new version of the game can breed. So far, no one knows what new Pokemon can evolve from an egg, although it is certain that it could either be male or female. As you can see, Togepi (right picture) evolves from an egg.

Herakurosu (right picture) which looks like a horn beetle, is a new Pokemon that will appear in Gold and Silver. It bears a strong resemblance to Pinsir/Kairosu from the Red and Blue version. This has lead everyone to believe that Herakurosu may also be a Bug type Pokemon and a rival to Pinsir.

"CHICOLITA" A Grass type Pokemon which has a leaf on its head. This is one of the Pokemon that the hero gets to select first.	"HINOARASHI" HI means 'Fire', ARASHI means 'Storm'. A Flame type Pokemon which looks like a hedgehog. This is one of the Pokemon that the hero gets to select first.
"WANINOKO" WANI means 'The Crocodile', KO means 'Child'. A Water type Pokemon which looks like a crocodile. This is one of the Pokemon that the hero gets to select first.	"NUOH" A Water type Pokemon which looks like a YADON. They are very rare.
"ODOSHISHI" This Pokemon looks like a deer. It intimidates by its big horns which resemble huge eyes.	"MONSTER BALL" A new type of Poke Balls made by trainer "GANTETSU". The type of Pokemon that you can catch will depend on the color of the ball.

MEREEP	SUIKUN	HANEKKO
In Japan, MERRY is a synonymous name for sheep because of the popular song called, "MERRY's Sheep". So the name MEREEP is a combination of MERRY and SHEEP. This is an electric type Pokemon and is quite similar to DENRYU.	SUI means - the water, and 'KUN' means - the monarch. This is a water type Pokemon. It is very rare like LUGIA.	HANE means - the wing, and KO means - the kids. This is a grass type Pokemon. It is reputed to be able to fly by using the grass blades at the top of its head like a propeller

"PICHU" This is a Pokemon before the evolution of "PIKACHU". It is an electric type Pokemon.	"PI" This is a Pokemon before the evolution of "PIPPI" (U.S. name is "CLEFAIRY"). It is a normal type Pokemon. It is called the 'incarnation of the fairy'.	"PUPURIN" This is a Pokemon before the evolution of "PURIN" (U.S. name is "JIGGLYPUFF"). It is a normal type Pokemon. What song does it sing?

"UPAA" It is a Pokemon which is similar to "UUPAR ROOPER", the water and ground type Pokemon.. It learns, "Water Gun" and "Tail Swing", by level 1. It learns, "Beats", by level 11.	"HAGANE-RU" It is Pokemon which resembles "IWA-KU" (U.S. name is "ONIX"). HAGANE" means Steel. It is a steel and ground type Pokemon. Steel type is a new Pokemon type.

"EIPAMU" It is a long tail Pokemon which resembles "MANKEY". "EIPA" means ape.	"HIMA-NUTS" A grass type Pokemon which has a growing leaf on its head. "NUTS" means seed. "HIMA" seems to be "HIMAWARI' which probably means sunflower.	"USOCKY" It is a Pokemon which resembles "NASSY" (U.S. name is "EXEGGUTOR"). It is a grass type Pokemon. "USOTSUKI" means the liar.

"KUNUGIDAMA" It is a Pokemon which seems very solid and is a probable steel type Pokemon. It may learn a skill called, "Big explosion", like "BIRIRIDAMA" (U.S. name is "VOLTORB").	"GURAIGA" It is a flying type Pokemon. It's name resembles a glider and is similar to "GOLBAT".	"HASSAMU" It is a Pokemon which resembles "STRIKE" (U.S. name is "SCYTHER"). It has scissors hands which are both solid and sharp.

"DERUBIRU" A devil type Pokemon. Devil is a new Pokemon type. The pronunciation resembles "DERUBIRU" and "DEVIL". It may be may be the rival of "WINDY" (U.S. name is "ARCANINE").	"NYUURA" It is cat type Pokemon, and because of its looks, might also be a devil type Pokemon. It's relation with "NYA-SU" (U.S. name is "MEOWTH") is unknown.	"DO-BURU" A normal type Pokemon. It is a funny Pokemon which draws pictures with its tail.

"KAPOERA" A battle type Pokemon. "KAPOERA" is the name of a struggling skill. This kicking Pokemon resembles "SAWAMURA" (U.S. name is "HITMONLEE").	"MIRUTANKU" It is cow like Pokemon. "MIRUKU" means m and "TANKU" means tanks. It is different from "KENTAROSU" (U.S. name is "TAUROS")" since it is a feminine Pokemon.	"HAPINASU" It seems to be the evolution of "LUCKY" (U.S. name is "CHANSEY"). "HAPI" means happy and "NASU" means, the nurse. As you know, "LUCKY" plays the duty of a nurse in the cartoon.
